I purchased a Seasonic PX-1000 ($255) and received a Focus GX-1000 ($140). Someone appears to have bought a PX-1000, carefully cut the Amazon inventory label from the plastic wrap, and used a glue stick to attach it to the box of a GX-1000. They then returned the mislabeled GX-1000 to Amazon in place of the PX-1000.
Without knowing, Amazon took that “new” product and sent it out to me. Not all of us have us much luck in the Amazon lottery as [Frequent-Remove69](https://www.reddit.com/user/Frequent-Remove69/) had today.
I would suggest anyone buying anything remotely expensive on Amazon to record themselves opening up the package just in case for bullshit like this. Seems to happen a lot.

Just don’t buy expensive stuff from Amazon. They suck. Go to best buy or something where you will at least get the advertised product not some Chinese packaged sh**

Took 3 months to get money back, and only because my bank finally agreed with me and denied the charge.
To this day Amazon never officially refunded me on their own (hence the bank denial) and would have been perfectly fine charging me $450 for a CPU **I NEVER RECEIVED**

I just purchased a 4090 off Amazon and the GPU packaging itself looked tampered with and panic set in. Started recording from that moment forward but luckily everything checked out. Amazon definitely needs to improve their return policy when it comes to computer parts. Seems a lot of people are having issues with getting a returned product that isn’t what it’s supposed to be and the people doing the returns aren’t knowledgeable enough to know better.

That was probably just a warehouse mistake. Those barcodes are printed at the warehouse if something isn’t scanning right. Sometimes things aren’t scanning right because they actually aren’t the right item, and the person printing barcodes doesn’t realize that.

I mean, this happens. Far too frequently but, still you can easily return it. When you go on the website for the return there’s even a box you can check for “the wrong item” or whatever.
Whether or not this is someone else actually ripping off Amazon or them just sucking, I don’t know. But, the worst I’ve seen was when I ordered the Fiio KA5. It”s a 130$ dongle DAC/Amp. They sent a KA1which is 50$. They didn’t have any issues with the return
