Rub it well enough, you need to get rid of all the SMD.

Don’t forget to reinstall to dry out the board, you can’t just let it sit out on the counter. Normally heat is our enemy when it comes to PCs but it’s very necessary post washing, it’s the only way to get all the water gone.
