Hi, I'm asking here because I'm stuck. When I started PL, I was hoping for a nice add-on with cool quests, danger of course, but not HUGE CYBERNETIC SPIDERS THAT WANT TO KILL YOU

PLEASE HOW DO YOU PASS THIS LEVEL I NEED TO KNOW IF I CAN HUMANLY SURVIVE THIS THING OR IF I'D RATHER CHARGE A PREVIOUS SAVE

(I'm REALLY arachnophobic by the way)

You can’t fight it, if you tried

The bot’s behavior consists mostly of disappearing into the walls, choosing a random place to pop out, checking it lightly, then going back into the walls. You’ll get a visual hint on your screen if the bot is near, so either run back the way you came or find a nook to hide in.

It’s on a pattern. It’s not actively hunting you.

Soon as you see the Blackwall effect or hear it’s footfalls, just stay out of it’s line of sight till it leaves.

    Wash, rinse, repeat.

  3. Wide-Transition-7539

Once you get it’s pattern it’s really easy

In addition to the pattern that’s already been mentioned there are also guides available with the best approach for each room, where to hide when, etc. (I can attest that the guides helped, I was also traumatized..)

    Good luck!

You’ll get a good 15 to 30 seconds of exploration between each disappearance. Pay attention, and listen for it’s vroops and clicks as it leaves the ceiling.

I had to look it up on YouTube because it was too stressful for me. It turns out it’s pretty easy!

  7. espressoplayer

I don’t remember this. What mission is this?

Treat it like a stealth game. You can fight it, you need to hide from it and disable all the consoles. Pretty much always stay crouched behind stuff. If you have the ninjitsu upgrade then it’s ten times easier.

  9. You romance it. Slide into the DMs. Set a nice romantic picnic or contraband AI chips… And then just proceed with the hydraulics.

  10. Dont fight it. Listen for its loud steps, when you do find some where to hide. depending where you are when you hear the foot steps. Hide and make sure to not be seen. Run and get the things you need to get done, grab the files, loot and read the emails. UNTIL your hear the sounds.. run and hide quick. GOod luck choom.

You just hide, the game tells you when it’s nearby, it doesn’t look everywhere in the room and it has a small cone of vision.

It would be hilarious if the game added a Less Scary option to this part, like *Outer Wilds*.

You got this, V. Just do the right thing after.

Beat it? I never even ran into it, to my disappointment.

Yeah I really hated this mission. I loved PL and everything it added to the map, the world, story, and content but this mission was awful. I get it’s supposed to be an Alien Isolation type mission that gives you that feeling of being hunted but there’s a reason I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 and not Alien Isolation. I don’t LIKE games where all you do is hide. This mission wouldn’t bug me as much if they didn’t lock legendary gear behind this mission and ONLY this mission.

Just keep moving. It usually has set times where it’ll show up, such as when you get near a terminal. Just hide behind something and stay out of sight.

Like, everyone else said, it’s on a pattern. Once you got the pattern down, you can literally explore the lab as much as you want.

Not to mention that it can’t see you if you activate your Optical Camo, and it’s easily distracted by the distract enemies quickhack.

Also, you can listen to the music cue to know if it’s in a vent or patrol the ground.

  17. NukaClipse

You don’t. You just get a little better at hiding from it each time it mutilates your brain.

  18. AdorableDisaster2460

Complete stealth and run. It’s one of those bosses where you just… survive

This quest really stressed me out too hahaha I’m not into any sort of horror game and wasn’t expecting to play hide and seek with a giant robot spider. After getting the rhythm it ended up being one of my favourite quests! I just knew if it didn’t see me I was fine, I would listen to it’s pattern but sometimes I’d get lost and end up in the wrong place. Took me awhile to do. There was one occasion where I hid in an electrical room but didn’t realise that it goes around the entire room and jumpscared the shit out of me hahahha.

Follow it’s pattern/movement/sound. Remember it can’t see you if you hide in the right places.

    Good luck!!

I’m shit at the game (most games actually) and struggled even with the creature at the beginning of PL.
You have to be super sneaky and Stealthy which is hard if you’re trigger happy like me, and felt “overpowered” before this quest.
Siding with songbird means you miss this monstrosity altogether

This video walks through the mission and shows exactly how the robot will come and how to hide from it. It was the only reason I was able to do the mission

    https://youtu.be/OWq-w28UCzs?si=XdTpAyhUun6-eCVZ

Another thing to note is that one the robot leaves after hunting you it has a small cooldown where it can not hunt you down. During this time you can save and close the game/walk away and take multiple breaks. When it is not on cooldown you can not save.

Shooting unsuppressed weapons causes the robot to come. This can be exploited to make the robot be in cooldown when you are moving between rooms. When doing this I shoot from a hiding spot until the robot comes and wait for it to leave.

Everyone here has already given you solid advice on getting past this thing, but I really encourage you to stick it out.

I won’t spoil things for you, but there are significant character revelations when you successfully survive the spider-bot, which make it heartbreakingly worth it

  23. I played this mission at night and this motherfucker scared the shit out of me. However, if you just play careful and hide when you hear him, you should be fine. His vision is very limited also and can be exploited more than you think.

  24. UrdnotZigrin

The sudden transition into Alien Isolation at this point was absolutely terrifying for me when I got to this part just last night

You must sacrifice the first born of a royal line then begin a pilgrimage to the original land of your blood line and make a blood oath to the ancestors. Thats just to get the first dataterminal.

  26. mega_shock

Stealth, like an agent 😎(I was so scared of that mission 😭😔😭)

  27. baricudaprime

Yeah the end game of phantom liberty is either “do you want to play as a horror movie monster?” Or “do you want to play against a horror movie monster?” Depending on who you betray. For what it counts you get access to really sweet gear if you make it through the Cerberus drone mission, you just have to look around
