I’ve honestly half soured on this game after they announced they had a pre determined date to announce…. When they’ll release the game.

Hope it turns out decent though gaming is a little slow rn other than black myth wukong coming out

I’m worried about how they handle Mass Effect now, we do not need another 3 ending or Andromeda.

It’s baffling to me that they decided to go in the direction of DA2 for this game. Origins is the darling of the series. DA2 got a distinctly mixed reception. Inquisition did okay mostly by virtue of pulling back in the direction of Origins… and so they thought Veilguard should reverse that trend? I just don’t understand it. Give me a story-focused game with a fully controllable party and tactical combat.

Did they not notice BG3? The market for more tactical games is still here, I promise. They’ve never been good at action games and this series doesn’t need to keep trying.

I haven’t been in the loop on this game (I generally ignore the paid hype trains studios try to generate). I did just look at some gameplay footage and came away with a few impressions…

    A) This isn’t a Dragon Age game, it’s a high fantasy God of War clone
    B) The art style looks like a Gummy Bears cartoon

I wonder if the people who steal this information know that *we will* eventually get to see when the game releases. Stealing that info does not make the game come out any sooner. Sometimes quite the opposite.

Who cares. Everyone that made bioware the epic studio they were are long gone. The likelihood of these new devs with barely any experience and no understanding of why people love the original games is hilariously infinitesimal. And when it inevitably does terrible because EA can’t do anything right, we’ll see Bioware shuttered and gone forever. And of course EA will try and spin it to be our fault as per always.

If they knew the release date, why wouldn’t they reveal it with the reveal? Is that not the point of a reveal? MUST EVERY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A GAMING COMPANY AND THE PUBLIC BE A LEAK? MUST OUR RELATIONSHIP BE THAT OF A THIEF AND A VICTIM RATHER THAN THAT OF AN INFORMER AND THE INFORMED? WHY MUST INFORMATION BE STOLEN RATHER THAN GIVEN FREELY?

Who cares, that shit aint Dragon Age anyway

Yeah nah its not for me. From what I’ve seen and heard of the game it just seems, I dunno, off somehow.

Honestly, the fact that they are trying to hide the game’s release date is more concerning than the fact that it leaked.

How long before you think it is cracked?

  12. Responsible-Ear-44

Since this is EA, are they doing Early Access with this one with some sort of Ultimate edition? Like 5 days or a week?

It unfortunately looks like Fortnite and had a reveal trailer that was only slightly better than the Concord reveal.

October 31. The real reason why Avowed was delayed to 2025 from November 12.

Not even 2 weeks in, direct competitor, from the same company but in gamepass.

This thread is really just people complain about Bioware and the old games.

Some of us are excited though!

Unrelated to the release date announcement but I have to say the fact they have a roadmap not for the game (which would be bad enough for a single player game) but for *marketing* the game is really a statement on how off the rails this has industry has gotten.

It is always the last week in the month 😭
