I don’t usually get that far
If two or three of your team are over, drop all the money to one person, make sure that that person has stims, make sure that you have at least one pds, so you can re-open a shop, buy a lot of ammunition boxes, don’t buy persons back (waste of money) and one gas mask before pds is over, loot the persons that died in the last circles, lastly try to reach ammunition cache. Plus maybe an extra self res or two. Don’t have smokes in your inventory, for me if I use the stims the smokes will automatically take the place of the stims and the ammuntion boxes will be useless.
Loot money from last players you killed, get gas mask at buy station & buy as much muni boxes as you can. Go look for a stim in any bathroom, keep stimming & replenishing from muni boxes, run to ammunition caches for more.
Any PDS you find might help you to open another buy station at some point and replenish muni boxes or gas mask.
If you can’t beat em, join em
You have to preempt them. If i come across a buy station with loads of muni boxes by it I’ll pick up and deploy every one cos I know someone intends to come back and use it.
If I don’t find them in like 20 seconds I’m dead cuz I don’t do no gas plays. It’s for chumps

Don’t really care enough to try and counter them. They can have the meaningless win
I almost always bring a pds with me nowadays so if someone tries being a stim rat I can open a buy and spam buy munitions and stim myself hopefully longer than them.
There is a counter to this but it requires a couple of stims to get across map. I’d share the tip but then again if you can’t beat a gas play then take the L.
Just take the L. Like dying to a fire shotgun or a claymore or a bomb drone…
I blame the game more than the players
You lose and start a new game. It happened to me like 30 minutes ago.
They’ve nerfed gas plays right? You die a lot faster
Lose unfortunately; have a spare uav but still have to find and kill them at that point
