I was walking through a local thrift store recently and came access one of these relics of times long past. I remember a buddy of mine having one and bravely trying out saves he downloaded from limewire, still don't know how he never bricked his PlayStation.

I have one of those, not only had I forgotten I had it, I had also forgotten what it was for.

I used to have one. Remember I bought one for the first RPG Maker on Playstation.

I’m pretty sure I still have one packed away somewhere.

I had one of those for psx! Was so cool having “unlimited” memory card storage! Bought one of these instead of another card. Not sure what happened to it, but my first FFVII save is still somewhere on a floppy disk. Good times.

Save data wouldn’t have bricked his console. The data is not maintained after power loss. Formatting the memory card would of fixed any loading issues.

    I had one.

I have one of those. You can buy them used for about $30 on eBay. I usedd it to transfer saves from my memory cards to my computer for archiving. I recently transferred some of those saves to my PS Classic Mini.

I have to appreciate the audacity of the design for this device: That you would install it on your desktop, and it would be there, patiently waiting for you to install your PlayStation memory card into it.

  10. Was basically required to be taken seriously in the early Gran Turismo community.
