Functionally, this setup handles music arrangement, recordings, mastering (amateur level), event planning, data management and analysis, databasing, assignments, logistics planning… Recently shifted to a wireless setup because the cheap dual arms had built in USB extensions.

The hanging layer sagged in the centre, managed to find a bolt that could link the two and used a decent shoestring to tension it up. There's also bolts on either side taking up load into the frame.

It's apparently an old IKEA desk, and there used to be a built in light – never really needed it. All power and cabling hidden behind the privacy panel under the desk, and the PC is side-mounted to the frame as well.

  1. people who have dual monitor setups need to understand that there needs to be a “main” monitor that is directly in front of you, instead of both monitors being to the side. the setup you have now is going to be bad for your posture and neck if you are looking to either side the whole time.

I’ve been using the same desk for going on 20 years now, the incredible IKEA Jerker 😂
