I've been visiting family in another city for the past few days, I decided to bring my laptop because so I can play some games together with my cousins as I didn't want to bring my PS5 and monitor.
I made a fresh account to play on the laptop, shadowbanned after 35 games played. Strictly using ground loot or weapons that other players drop when they die because I'm level 40.
Average kills per game 5, highest kill game 12, KD 1.49 and only 2 wins in total. Nothing crazy by any means. Last game I played I got a few lucky shots with the kar towards endgame and got shadowbanned.
Meanwhile on my PS account my highest kill game is 21, average kills per game 5, 1.38KD and over 120 wins.
Somewhat above average but not a demon by any means.
Why isn't Activision doing anything about the report system being broken? I get it that it's a helpful tool but it's not working the way it should.
How do you guys on PC deal with this? I never got sbadowbanned once ever since I switched to PlayStation.

It’s just because you were on a new account (technically smurfing).
The game shadow bans almost all new accounts that are clearly not actually new players before they reach rank 50 or whatever it is that you need to play ranked.
I guess it’s another attempt to stop hackers just spam make new accounts and rage hack in ranked. This way they all need to wait a week per account to play ranked, which deters a lot of it.
Shadow ban system is terrible, I’ve luckily never been shadow banned despite not being a bad player (2+KD in ranked in crim2 right now) But I’ve had friends been shadow banned that I know IRL and are definitely not cheaters.
The issue is, Ricochet is even fucking worse. So without the shadow ban system, the game would basically be unplayable. it’s a bandage over a massive wound, but it’s better than nothing.
Your account is deemed suspicious because it’s new Like the first guy said, You probably killed a few guys. And they were suspicious because you’re such a low level and probably reported you. I’ve only been Shadow banned One time and that was in warzone 1. And I’ve been playing this game all these years from the start. And i’ve had no other issues except for that one time
I switched from PS to Xbox to PC. I love it, from better graphics, smoother fps, more colors and ofc the filters!
But according to half this sub you have to be cheating to get shadowbanned 🤣.
Activision isn’t working the way it should. The game isn’t working the way it should. Why would anything else work the way it should in the game when the report system has allowed everybody’s suspicions of low level pc accounts to be confirmed over and over again. Cheating out of control making an otherwise excellent game useless & ultimately pointless. Omni movement will fix it…
