As mentioned In the title, which characters from cyberpunk 2077 do you think will be back in the sequel?
Considering the lack of information we have regarding the sequel, would you prefer a full reboot or maybe a continuation of the story with more or less the same characters?
I hate to think this game will be the last we will see of these characters.

Mr. Blue Eyes & Delamain.
Gary but dead, because he knew to much.
I would be very surprised if we’re not goint to meet Alt Cunningham again in a sequel
I don’t think any of the ones in the pictures will be back. I’d be surprised if they were
It would be cool if your previous choices would effect that, for example Takemura could be in the sequel
I want Rosalind Myers 👉👈
Vik is the only one in this gallery that really makes sense, I think.
Hands…please let it be Hands. I guess it depends if the sequel takes place before, during, after, or long after the first game?
Meredith Stout for another romp
Vik would be easy to integrate and makes sense. Delamain has no reason to leave NC, and he’s a company, so he can stick around. Blue Eyes works for Night Corp, the eponym to the city itself, so I’m sure he’s strolling about *somewhere*. Alt is basically immortal riding on the Net, so she can make a reappearance.
I don’t think Panam, Judy, V or Johnny make any sense. In every single case, they leave NC, one way or the other. The only one where V stays back is the Sun & Don’t Fear The Reaper. Johnny gets wiped in every single ending in one way or the other except Temperance.
Probably Mr blue eyes, but I hope Vic
Songbird hopefully, depending which ending is canon
None
Hands, Blue Eyes, Myers and Vik are the only ones I can see.
None of there fates are effected by any choice in the story.
Just curious. Why are people locked in on the assumption that the sequel will take place in Night City?
Yes, NC is a massive part of the established lore but it’s also not the only location. There are lots of places in NUSA that a sequel can take place in.
Definitely best way to play it safe due to the multiple endings is to have Vik and Misty around. Regardless of choices, Panam and Judy will almost always end up leaving unless you fuck up their missions *real* bad. Potential safe bet is to also have Rogue around too, or at least have Claire and then give a short bit of dialogue explaining her absence if there is a save transfer or previous game choices akin to the Witcher games. So, in all likelihood, Panam and Judy are gone.
Unless we do for some reason return as V, as Pawel seemingly stated during a dev play that V’s story was not done: Then I do not think we would see V, at least not in NC. Most endings have us leave (or have us likely leaving).
Panam could be the new Dakota. A fixer in the Badlands who always have you gunning for Wraiths. I dig that.
We knew Vik is stuck in NC no matter what ending you pick.
Spider Murphy and Alt. From what I understand, Spider Murphy was the one who “broke” Alt’s digital conscience into many pieces and scattered them all throughout cyberspace. The Alt we meet in Cyberpunk 2077 is one fragment of that, which would explain why she’s so distant. Perhaps in the sequel, we unite with SPider Murphy to find the pieces of Alt and unite them.
Only characters I could see making a return are ones that aren’t directly tied to V’s story. So, none of those pictured above
probably only vic
I’d like to see the MC in the sequel interact with V and Vik in the same way that V interacts with David and Falco. Side quest to pay homage, gets to interact with a old man Vik for a while, maybe when holo-call him, and get some memoriam of V
I would guess it would be even further in the future…idk, 2120 or something. Since there are so many optional endings in 2077 (e.g. Arasaka Corp could possibly be totally crippled), the writers might want to give it enough time to keep the course of events vague enough to allow for a new storyline.
If so, a lot of the characters would probably be dead. The nomads and lower classes like Panam and Judy probably couldn’t afford longevity tech, and the rich characters from 2077 like Kerry and Rogue were already pretty old, so idk how long they could keep going with the tech.
None of these characters r gonna be in the sequel
Really I hope none of them if it’s a true sequel in the sense of it being past the events of 2077. It would be hard to write them in without creating a canon ending unless we get a Save Game continuation kind of thing.
I hope Orion is a prequel. That way we can have all these great characters, even interactions with the Edgerunners, and not mess with the story of 2077. Maybe make it set in like 2075 or something. Before V shows up or becomes a big player. And by the time 2077 rolls around your characters flame has burned out and it’s V’s turn.
I think Johnny will absolutely be back in some way. So will Vik. I don’t see Judy, Panam or V returning.
We could get Rogue back depending on which ending they want to canonise. Mr. Blue Eyes and hopefully the Peralez’s will be back, still functioning as puppet mayors of whatever AI is controlling them. Delamain being back would be good as well.
I’d also love for Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners to be involved in some way. Even if we don’t see her, I’d love to be able to find out what she’s been up to on the moon. Just for a bit of closure.
I kinda wish none of them are back, so that cyberpunk’s takes a similar approach to persona – as in each game is its own self-contained story instead of an overarching plot over several games
Unpopular opinion: none of these guys. I’m not even sure I want to be in Night city, as beautiful as it is. The only connections to 2077 is Blue eyes and maybe the paralez’s. Hanako survives no matter what so I guess she could show up too if you go a corpo route.
Let these characters rest, not because they’re bad but because they’re great. Give the game that was supposed to be the RPG of our era the proper rest by leaving no ending cannon, no relationship set in stone. Have it truly be the players own desired experience.
I want Lizzy Wizzy back
