Make sure you open and actually see the hardware, would be easy to tell if it’s never been opened.

This kinda happen to me before so maybe it’s true but always go with someone and somewhere safe
Fluffy_Skin4030
What’s the price? So if its a scam they would have changed the chip inside to a cheaper GPU and the outside would be just as good as a 4070ti. You would want to run it on a PC and check if it states 4070ti. Please do it on your PC. Also, be careful they might also be human poachers so make sure you choose an apt place for the deal. Apart from that enjoy the sweet deal!
DrMcnasty4300
I doubt their Amazon account got hacked and sent 3 graphics cards to the correct address and not the hackers address lol
AussieJeffProbst
100% these are either fake, broken, stolen, or they’ll steal your organs.
Eazy12345678
100% scam
you can return everything at amazon, and if not you can dispute the charge with your credit card company. i have had my credit card stolen online probably over 20 times in past 20 years. never an issue. one time charge was even for $2500+ no issue getting my money back.
i would imagine you can find 4070ti super brand new on sale $750
ThickFurball367
Might be worth checking out, just be careful, meet in public, and don’t go alone. But the whole “somebody hacked our Amazon account and ordered them and now we can’t return them” sounds awfully fishy.
ryan_james504
I got a 7900 GRE from market place for $480. Brand new, unopened. I asked him to send me pictures of the seals and the receipt from Amazon and he happily did. His story was he didn’t measure things correctly for a water cooled build and rather than return it he just sold it. Still waiting on my mobo but I opened it and it everything seems to check out. Great deal for a first build
PreviousAssistant367
Sounds like a scam.
Dre9872
Erm, if their Amazon account was hacked they could just return them to amazon for a full refund. Why would they go through the effort of selling them all privately just to loose money?
djternan
If it’s $750 each, that’s bad for used pricing and a little weird that they have 3 of them. You can get a new 4070 ti super for ~$800 and that will come with a warranty.
If they want $750 for all 3, then there’s definitely some kind of scam or the GPU’s are stolen. It might be a setup for mugging. If you absolutely must go through with meeting up with this person, meet at a police station and bring a friend or two.

Why even risk it! Just to save a few bucks? Fuck these scammers

I’m pretty sure like 100% sure that Amazon would let them return them given they would be unopened boxes

I have only read the title of your post and I can tell you confidently: yes, it’s a scam. If you suspect it’s a scam then it’s definitely a scam.

What person hacks an Amazon account and ordered items to the accounts address.
Story is bullshit. 100%scam or setup to get robbed.
techtimee
I mean it’s slightly lower price than a new 4070ti, so I don’t think so?
TerrorBytesx
He’s probably not scamming you but he’s probably running a scam on Amazon to get the video cards for free
GPDDC
Scam
chilled_programmer
I really suspect they are opened and have the GPU core and VRAM harvested, they look pristine with the packaging on them but they are just empty shells. This is a scam that happens a lot on eBay or Aliexpress. There is also a scam where some individuals contact you and ask you to send them a photo of your GPU box and they’ll send you some money for it. The photo is later used for scams.
edwadokun
Can’t return them? Since when?! Amazon is pretty lax
siddo_sidddo
It’s only $50 more to get one from a legit store, with a return policy. Plus, their answers were weird. Not worth it for 7% off.
