Go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.

Resign after doing a recall and ensuring the consumers are respected and taken care of.

  3. resign, he’s too far gone

if I was his replacement tho, I’d do it XBOX 360 style and make it right for everyone, replace every damaged CPU for a brand new one no questions asked

  4. FatBrookie

Release a fixed new stepping and replace it for free.

  5. Push Microsoft to include the microcode update in a Windows update, including Windows 10, to make sure people who don’t follow tech news and don’t know to update their bios get the fix.

Honour RMAs, erring on the side of generosity when it comes to approving them.

Delay the next generation of chips to absolutely ensure stability and ensure they’re actually competitive with AMD on a technical level.

Come clean RMA all chips at customers request for 5 years.

  7. Sell all my shares, retire, move into a nice place and spend the rest of my days gaming.

Pet Gelsinger: “I’ve bet the whole company on 18A”

Raptor Lake, Meteor lake and Arrow lake were only stopgap chips. Intel never cared about them, they just needed something for the annual refresh. They don’t want to have to do anything to fix the chips they didn’t want to release.

I think intel will just try to ignore this issue while hoping 18A is a homerun.

Cut my salary in favor of the people who do the actual job (engineers, etc.)

Focus on production make sure the product is made correctly and fire all the people responsible for shrinking the teams associated with the 13th 14th gen issues . Which adversely affected manufacturers. Stop rushing out new CPUs . Scrap the gpu sector . And just keep RND running for it but don’t make anything until the performance of the prototype gpu reach the level of nvidia and AMD . Merge customers service of retail and enterprise customers. So all customers get the same level of customer service . Such as seamless replacement of broken products.

  11. collect my bonus and ride the golden parachute to the next company to nickel and dime to death

i will fire some employees . go to Bahamas and chill ,that what real CEO would do

  14. Emotional-Metal3102

Will layoff 1000 people and Increase bonus to myself.

Make sure next gen chips are even more worse and make them blow up so people will with switch sides and go to buy AMD, meanwhile invest on AMD stocks and then send in CV to rival AMD for CEO post and then wait and see Intel blow up and make millions while laughing 😈

If you can’t beat them join em 😅

Will try to properly coordinate with third-party manufacturers on the development of bugfree motherboards and graphic cards and keep a close eye on Quality checking as well as invest a good amount of chunk on R&D while also try to make components with less environmental impact to stay afloat in future against competition as not to go bust.

First, I’d make it right with the affected customers to clean Intel’s name.
Second, NOT fire the teams responsible for the 13th and 14th gen issues but instead allow them to learn from this mistake in order to produce an efficient 15th gen.
Firing them will only make me gamble on the 15th gen while the existing team might have learned a lesson.

  18. NitroRuleZ

I would team up with Nvidia and make the most Insane Cpu and Gpu ever and make it cheap as much as possible.
After about a month consumers will probably forget about the whole incident and start buying Intel Again.

    The End

  19. Take the golden parachute and chill. What else a ceo can do…

  20. XB_Demon1337

Intel’s CEO should do a few things.

    1. Properly announce and take responsibility.
    2. Have all RMAs for the affected generations auto-approved for RMA.
    3. Maybe partner with some developer on steam to give away steam keys for a decently popular game. Like maybe currency in Once Human, or Call of Duty. Or even a key for a new game. Heck even $20 in Steam credit would be worth doing.

Sell divisions, focus on products that work and bring money (or have good potential to do so in the not long future). Make a large company wide reorganization, rebuild the marketing/PR/customer relations from the ground up, have honest and open communication with customer affected with issues and show honest moves to amend the issues. And most importantly, change the corporation culture – it is rotted from the core. The company isn’t going to collapse but it is not in a good position right now.

I would take my 169 million dollar salary then i would retire and not worry about anything

  23. Accept defeat and make sure to do everything to correct it. That means giving people actual tips on how to minimise the potential damage, and honor RMA’s so you dont end up with every single consumer not willing to buy intel because “they dont honour rma’s what if this happens again?”

The other option would be to simply resign

  24. rmpumper

Jump with the hundred million golden parachute and just retire.
