I have unsuccessfully murdered he and Dex with grenades lobbed into the open car door many times.
Takemura definitely killed him to get to Dex.
Idk but I like this dudes sunglasses and cyberware. Might try and make mods of them

He probably lasted maybe 2 seconds against Takemura and that’s if he even saw him coming.
See here’s the thing. Everybody says that Takemura probably killed this dude along with his squad of arasaka ninjas. But here the thing, we never see his body. We can find Dex’s body. hell we can find the body of the sixth ganggoon who mouths off to Padre in the Street Kid begining. There are dozens of NPCs that we can find if you look hard enough.
But not Oleg. Why?
Face it Dex was a wash out trying to worm his way back to the big leagues with no real plan or contacts anymore besides the bottom of the barrel. He probably had enough scratch to hire Oleg for the two or three days, then when time was up Oleg was gone. Probably just hours before Takemura found Dex too.
He probably got a ride to the USSR from Mikhail Akulov, assuming V hadn’t killed him.
You think he’d stick around and help Dex? Dex is a deadbeat nobody who was so desperate he let himself get manipulated and screwed by everyone interested in the Relic.
I ran across a theory recently. There’s a Netwatch related shard that refers to a deep cover op of theirs. I forget the exact callsign, but it’s pretty easy to reverse engineer to Oleg. It absolutely could be a coincidence; there’s even another character with the name Oleg in 2077 (and, IIRC the hint to it being Oleg is just his first initial, like o.d4rk or something, anyway, so this is a **very thin** connection.)
However, if the theory is correct, and Oleg was a Netwatch agent, it leaves open the possibility that Oleg abandoned Dex, and possibly even that Netwatch were the ones who put Arasaka on Dex’s trail so fast.
Of course, it’s also possible that Dex waxed him after disposing of V’s corpse.
He either got out, or Takemura got him on route to Dex. My money is on dead.
