I would have loved to platinum this game. Maybe I'll revisit in future.

What a fun and addicting ride.

Not really, they’re typically over pretty quickly. Run in, blast a bunch of dudes, grab the bag, get paid.

When I went for 100% I actually didn’t mind it. I just cleared them out one section/neighborhood at a time. Plus I always did netrunner builds and wanted to try a Sandevistand run. Being a Sandy noob, the NCPD spots were good practice getting used to it.

Plus the benefits of XP, street cred, and eddies.

They’re the best way to level up while exploring the city.

I just do them ambiently, kinda wish there were more of them tbh. But if you’re doing it like a checklist it can get tedious

I’ve been using them to test different weapon combos

  7. I will do it one day, i have already done all the ends

I love how many there are. It makes the world seem so alive when you just walk/drive around and get a notification that there’s a crime happening near you. Really makes me feel like a god damn superhero when I pull up in my caped crusader-esque outfit with the murkmobile.

I didn’t mind them at all! I dreaded the cyberpsychos for a long time until I realized that no matter what they survive at 1% or whatever unless you shoot them after they’re down.

  10. whenever I go for a drive I look at my route and wipe out all the scanners along the way. You find a pretty good amount of perk shards and a TON of cash while avoiding the act 3 glut of late game busywork.

It was finding all the fast travel points that annoyed me the most I was missing one forever and even looking at a complete map I just kept not seeing it.

I usally do them at the start of each run. Easy exp grind and loot to sell and dismantle for tech

NCPD scanners are one of my favourite parts of the game. Run around the city, testing different things and roleplaying a merc.

I’m on my 5th new save file (I fucking love this game don’t judge) and I always do every single NCPD scanner mission. The combat in this game is so good, I just love fucking shit up.

i want the ability to reason with cops

You get some iconic weapons with the Organized Crime Activities…don’t miss those!

Quick and fun activity to do. And with Guts (Rebecca shotgun) they are even funnier!

  18. There aren’t *enough* of them. This is a game about shooting punks. If you don’t like shooting punks… what are you even doing?

I liked doing some any time I got anything new just to test out the new stuff – I’m not sure the hostages in the handful of hostage situations appreciated it, but I (usually) got the job done.

Some of them are interesting with tricky combat/stealth layouts, and some actually unlock their areas once you’ve cleared them, causing the area to be cleaned up and people to return, and sometimes you’ll get a new store or two (nothing amazing, just another place to buy basic supplies, ammo, etc.).

My main problem with them is that I think it’s presented poorly. What I would like is:

    1. Don’t get them immediately upon gaining the Kiroshi optics. I should have to do at least *something* for someone in the NCPD to be invited to the responder programme.
    2. Show only a handful of markers, perhaps initially for the less urgent crimes.
    3. Assaults in progress and such should then appear as you get (very) near to them with a generic line like “NCPD to responders, reports of an assault in progress” or whatever.
    4. Assaults in progress and similar should be shown on the map as “Crime Reported” until you get close enough for a report on what it is. It feels so weird to be given 100+ assaults in progress as that’s a lot of urgent crimes for a V that’s already overwhelmed with higher priorities.
    5. As you tick off markers from your map, more should appear so you’ve always got some you know the location of, and as you get through them it will start pointing you to locations that you haven’t found.

I feel like this would be doable, and would feel a lot more natural than just getting an immediate NCPD marker vomit all over the city map.

But yeah, by the time I was at the point of no return in the main story I was craving more to do so I was happy to polish off NCPD responder jobs, so I don’t hate them actually, as more Cyberpunk 2077 is still more Cyberpunk 2077, and even if it was repetitive it was still fun, as I could add my own twists by approaching situations differently (do I use hacks, sniper rifle, monowire etc.).
