What happened to the UI/UX designers at Treyarch? The recent game’s huds are awful. First image is the legacy hud showcased on the cod blog. The second image is my proposed changes to make the hud better. I do not have a graphic design degree. I made these changes in 20 mins.

I also really don’t like the look of the large boxes around the ammo, gobblegums, and grenades. That, combined with the text font, just look like it came from a mobile game.
Using the 3D models of the grenades also add to this look.

Exactly what I said in one of my other comments. Gameplay does look fun but man the UI UX has been lacking for so long. This is just a cluttered mess wyh no identity either. Cold wars ui was the same
The legacy hud isnt even bo3, its more like bo4 with the specialist, tactical, and ability slots from multiplayer and the multiple tailisman on the side of the screen
Slight changes and it made it 10 times better than the original hud, idk how they thought that hud looked good especially after 4 years of development

Wow, one dude on reddit did a better hud in 20 minutes than a whole team in 3 years.
The HUD will be fully customisable, you can turn on/off what you want, locate stuff where you want etc
What we have from the gameplay demo will be the HUD that this user wanted and does not represent what it will look like for everyone.
Can’t wait to play the zombies if i don’t like it I’ll return the game back to GameStop for refund

If the hud looks this bad at launch I’m definitely just learning the buttons and then turning the entire hud off minus perks and ammo.

It really cracks me up that the early games like BO1, BO2, Etc., were better in almost every way when it comes to design, UI/UX, and usability. It boggles my mind that these games have THOUSANDS of devs and this is the result. Too many cooks in the kitchen I suppose.
This is literally shows you how out of touch they are, you don’t need any experience for the average player to understand that the hud looks soo awful and slight changes could make 10x better

Isn’t the HUD completely customizable? This is just a preset, you should be able to change each individual element to your liking in game.
Much Better! I would be fine with even making the perks background fully transparent. Also, the font for the round numbers are too bold and bright red. Seems campy like a mobile version. Wish it was darker and not as bold, similar to how it looked in Bo3. I do hope they change the HUD. They say it’s customizable, but this is just messy and ugly. I hope they change this among other things too.
Im hopeful they will implement HUD changes and give a LOT of customization, they have to see this feedback with the amount of posts being made on here. These are simple changes, would be sad if they dont and we have to completely turn it all off
