I don’t care if they get rid of carpenter because it was useless anyway but fire sales are worth keeping in the game.
Maybe there is some new mechanic that makes fire sales obsolete.

Carpenters have been MIA since Cold War. I was fine with it because Vanguard and MW3 don’t have repairable boards for their own reasons.
But this is supposed to be the return of actual round based, are we not going to have repairable boards? That would be kind of disappointing. The inclusion of Max Armor tells me that Carpenter won’t be in the game (bc I don’t know why Max Armor and Carpenter would be split up into different power-ups).

Based on some creators’ reactions, repairable barriers are no longer present. So yeah, Carpenter has no more purpose.
Fire Sale is still mentioned in the blog post, so it’s not going anywhere.

Fire Sale is literally mentioned just below this picture in the damn blog. Just read it ffs.
As for Carpenter, it’s been dead since Vanguard Zombies. Barricades are becoming less and less relevant, while armor is increasingly becoming more so. A brief history, if you will:
Prior experiences had Carpenter, which repaired all barricades, and gave you some points. Shields also became a staple of the mode.
Cold War got rid of shields and introduced its armor system, likely due to Warzone. Carpenter now existed to serve two roles; refill armor, and fix barricades.
Vanguard Zombies had no barricades until Shi No Numa, well into its lifecycle. The C-Team developing this game mode knew they wanted a similar power-up, but the hammer made little sense as an armor replenisher. Carpenter became Full Armor, and the hammer changed to a plate vest.
Full Armor returned in Modern Warfare Zombies. While the powerup remained identical to Vanguard’s incarnation, the armor system did not. You know, the whole 3-plate shebang directly from Warzone instead of a continuous bar that you could repair simply by walking into ground loot in the two previous installments.
Unfortunately for BO6, it’s confirmed Full Armor and the Warzone armor are in it. I hope they at least leave a few barricades in these maps.

And also the Death Machine Gun power up. 😔 It was last seen as a power up since BO3.

It’s definitely weird they chose to not include Fire sale in the picture. Fire sale is in the game and it is stated directly under the picture. If they didn’t have the Power-Up example box they could have put fire sale there and shown every power up in the game.
Carpenter isn’t in the game though and maybe that probably means no barriers. I’m not saying it’s a good change just one that makes sense based on how huge Terminus is and maybe Liberty Falls
