Probably not much damaged, though it could be a lot of things.
Was it on when it got wet? If not it might be fine once it’s dry. I’d put it in front of a fan for a couple days.

Doesn’t look like you have any fans utilizing the top mounts, correct? Would be worth grabbing a cheap roll of vinyl and cut to fit the top.
Keep it unplugged for a while with a house fan blowing against it to help dry out the little nooks faster.

Plug it out from the power supply uninstall the fans and graphics card + the cpu cooler and let it dry for minimum 24 hours, I would wait 3 days. And then put everything together, and hope that it works. Water itself does not destroy electronics, its just conductive which means if you would turn this back on then it goes bad. So it should be good if its not powered on while its wet.

On the bright side, it looks like most of the liquid missed the motherboard, so you may be able to salvage quite a bit. Leave it unplugged until you’re SURE it’s dry, then plug it in and assess the damages.
If my kids let me lie in as late as that, I’d overlook any number of acts of wanton destruction.
Ok this is important and time sensitive. There’s 2 reasons water can be bad
1. Short circuit: if it was on when this happened things are not looking too good, but if it was off this is probably ok
2. Corrosion: tap water has minerals in it that will react with the metals in the board and cause corrosion. You really should pull all the parts and rinse them in distilled water or better yet over 90% isoprpyao alcohol and give them a good cleaning. Crc qd electronics cleaner is also good for the hard to reach spots.
Seriously clean the fuck out of this thing. Use a paintbrush and or a bunch of qtips. Be gentle and use the spray wherever you feel like you shouldn’t touch the thing.
Boards have been saved from days outdoors this way. There is hope. Good luck.
Let this man’s unfortunate lesson be a warning to you all. If you have kids: lock or childproof your office every time. If you don’t have an office: make sure the PC is up high enough on a shelf or desk well out of their reach. *NEVER* store your PC on the ground even as a space saver. Nine times out of ten the PC’s that are accidentally damaged are the ones people put on the floor.

Scrub it down with 90% isopropic alcohol. The damage comes from the minerals in the water when it dries. The alcohol displace the water and you’ll have a much better chance at it surviving water on the mobo.
The 3 things I’ve learned from r/pcmasterrace:
1. Check the heatsink plate for plastic labels
2. Don’t drop a corner of your glass case onto hard tile
3. Don’t get a case with an exposed top vent.
That sucks man, kids be stupid. They are also useful, hand one a vacuum and force them to clean as punishment for being stupid. That carpet needs some care and tenderness, not more gold fish and cheerios, the kids will be perfect for that job.
I had this happened to me while my pc was running. I quickly unplugged everything, dried it very with a hairdryer, and left it in the garrage for 2 days (probably over kill). Works like a charm.

happened to me literally yesterday lol. take a rag and dry some of it up and then put it infront of a box fan for maybe 30 mins/an hour
I pulled 400ml of choclate milk in my computer when I was 14 and coated the gpu in a brown pattina. It worked few more years with just drying without cleaning. Opened a few years later and saw the pattina everywhere.
Do not try at home.

That shroud must have shielded the PSU( i hope so) of most of that liquid. CPU must be fine, the mobo and GPU must dry first before being turned on. Fingers crossed🤞

My wife’s cousin spilled a 32oz cup of water on her PC from the top. System shut off by itself. Told her to clean up the visible, standing water and let it sit for a few days. Booted up fine. Only loss was a stick of RAM.
Did you at least catch all the smoke in a baggie. That way you can power it on when it’s cleaned up?
