How was he simultaneously banned for having cheats detected and “unable to connect to the anti-cheat”

What’s Akros? What third party server are they playing on?

“confirmed that there is no evidence of Joel cheating in any matches prior to this incident”
yes because they updated arkos and then detected the cheat 😀

For what it’s worth, BC.Game have been handling this shitshow quite well.

I don’t doubt he was cheating based on his history.
However I am confused about the secrecy Akros has about this, there is no reason to be so secretive.
We get more information about someones blood work when they test positive for steroids.

“he was caught having a cheat loaded before the game, so we’re still not in the clear of what is going on regarding his cheating situation”
Really, that’s one hell of a position to take

AustinCS on YouTube did a video reviewing some of his recent games, it’s an interesting watch but he does highlight some strange clips where the play wouldn’t make much sense to make unless he had a radar hack for example, or sometimes he feels like he is checking spots his team checked, spamming smokes even though he has audio cues to tell him they wouldn’t be there anymore but he’s trying to make it seem as if he doesn’t know. Obviously, it’s just speculation but the clips in the video he highlights do seem really odd.

This is a surprisingly well worded message from the org, they use some very specific wording to confirm what they can, which is they don’t have evidence of prior cheating, and they leave everything about the current situation in the open. They even quote Joel as having “no *intent* to cheat in this match,” which is somehow respectful to the situation and to the player who may or may not be throwing himself under the bus.

So, how does Akros work? Is it strictly for CS or can Joel spin this as if he was intending to cheat in some other game that nobody cares about and that is the cheat that was detected?

i’m not a programmer so have no clue , but can’t they determine which exact file caused to trigger the ban ? If it’s word.exe then well quite obviously cheating xD

I guess he tried to use an external or Dma cheat that even Faceit is not able to detect, thats why he was using expensive skins without a worry.
Why the F Valve can’t use Akros Anticheat? It seems to be better than Valve’s Anticheat. I mean Akros is a community anticheat and Vac is an anticheat from a Company that earns millions of dollars.
Perhaps Akros is the solution to the whole negative cheating experience we get in CS2.
