AMD just pulled a reverse Intel on their 9000 series

  1. How horrible it is that we got some overclocking headroom on unlocked processors.

I guess sandy bridge was pretty horrible too.

    🤷

I have to wonder about that. AMD’s internal benchmarks aren’t lining up with the review sample results. Then again, their performance claims for the 5800xt were also exaggerated, so who can say.

I’m happy that AMD is keeping the power limits in check.

I would like one purple pill please

  5. …and then still pulled an intel with no generation gains…and took tiwce as long to do so. 🤣

I think people will appreciate not having to worry about their CPU incinerating itself.

especially after early AM5 boards did exactly that to some Zen 4 chips lul.

And their still having issues while not “pushing” the chips to the limit! AMD and Intel are a joke right now! But at least AMD isn’t committing fraud and then gaslighting people like Intel!

I’ve never been team Intel, and I’m glad I stuck with AMD over the years. The first Big Dick PC I built was in 2013 and my buddy recommended I try the FX-8350 Vishera chip when I did my build. I ran that CPU for a decade without issues and when it was time to upgrade I went with the R9 5900X CPU and couldn’t be happier.

Intel always seemed like an elitist brand to me and I’m not interested in paying a “brand tax”.

but why 2 of the biggest tech youtubers is saying that it sucks? i don’t get it.

This is literally 2013 but flipped. Intel is having their Bulldozer era, and AMD is having their Devil’s Canyon moment.
