I’ve won the giveaway for the ND75 keyboard. I have an almost completely black setup so I ordered white to have a different keyboard.
For the keyboard, coming from mostly commercially available keyboards, this is definitely an upgrade. You can feel the build quality in this product. The keyboard almost weighs 1.7 Kilograms, its the heaviest keyboard I’ve ever had. It’s made from CNC Aluminum so it feels sturdy and the finish is great.
The keycaps are double shot PBT and they look and feel very good. The switches are really good too. I used to avoid blue switches because a Razer Blackwidow that I had many years ago, they didn’t felt good for me and been using Brown switches since then, but this ones feel very good. It almost presses themselves (I feel like I need to put very little force). Also the sound of the keyboard is very pleasant. Coming from a cheap gasket keyboard, the difference is huge.
The little screen is mainly a gimmick, the only thing you can customize is the GIF. You cannot change the clock style or anything else in the screen. The main use of the screen is to change between lightning modes, but you can do that in the software too. It would be nice if the screen had a better use. Like being responsive to the app that you’re currently using, displaying an image of the game you’re playing, showing system info, etc. Currently is more of a novelty than an actual useful feature.
Speaking of the software, that’s my main concern with this product. The software is not good at all. Interface looks weird and outdated. Has 3 different lightning menus with no real explanation of what is the difference between them (one has more colors). It’s supposed to have a remap function for the FN key, but I couldn’t get to remap the FN of PgUp, PgDN and Delete. I’ve managed to change Insert and Del keys in the main layer, but the FN keys wouldn’t work at all with those. It would be nice to see the software improvement in later updates or the possibility to run other keyboard software.
I am very happy with the keyboard, It looks and feels awesome!
