Stardew is better IMO. Graveyard keeper is less polished

  2. Stardew us better overall, but GYK is really good, and if you like the vibe, it’s hard to beat.

  3. HairyHermitMan

If they’d just combine their forces, we’d have an ideal world where we could turn Pierre into a zombie and put him to work chopping a tree for all eternity.

  4. Who_Knows_Why_000

GYK ftw. I always found Stardew Valley to be kind of bloated.

  5. Stardew Valley feels more polished, but I liked the theme of graveyard keeper, the organs mechanic and zombie automation.

Also, Stardew Valley felt more stress-inducing with the daily and seasonal deadlines, but maybe it is because it was more polished, in graveyard keeper there are only weekly deadlines but it feels clunkier all the time, also I thought the donkey was going to be an awesome sidekick like Donkey from Shrek, but he just complains.

  6. LelouchYongBosch

That is not even close to a fair comparison

  7. Ketracel-white

Never even heard of Graveyard Keeper . . . is this some marketing tactic?

  8. The_Lat_Czar

Never played Graveyard Keeper, but Stardew was hella fun.

  9. Ok-Stretch-9869

I loved both of the games when I played them. But after a while, SV feels too casual. Graveyard Keeper is more out of ordinary.

  10. Are they both good though? Haven’t tried either of them…

I want to love Stardew Valley, but something about its art style i just don’t like, especially character sprites. I love pixel art but this game just feels off

  12. therealfurbz

I would say that Graveyard Keeper is the best Stardew clone … no I have never heard of Harvest Moon

  13. MrPinkDies

I never ended up even playing Graveyard Keeper…so, Stardew Valley.

  14. 23icefire

    Stardew Valley
    Graveyard Keeper
    Sunhaven

all 3 of them makin out sloppy. No need to fight!!

  15. RandomlyAgrees

I mean, Graveyard Keeper has a communist donkey, so I don’t think Stardew has a chance…

  16. Nepherenia

SDV: Objectively superior in terms of sheer amount of content and variety of things to do, polish, and potential hours of gameplay.

GYK: Buggy, needs some serious QoL that it will never receive officially…. but it’s pretty fun though.

  17. Faradaystreams

Prefer SDW for the farming but it can make me stress out.

GYK is betyer in stressmanagement since you can keep going with no sleep as long as you keep drinking wine. 🤣

  18. blaidd_halfwolf

There’s like 5 major issues I have with GYK that keeps it from reaching the same level as SV for me.

  19. dandaman1983

never even heard of graveyard keeper, I’ll have to try it out

  20. Glittering-Tune-1432

Stardew Valley is a gem of games, it’s got charming pixel art, relaxing gameplay, and endless creativity. from farming to friendships, it’s the perfect escape that feels like home.

  21. Hobbs512

Graveyard keeper after the first 10 hours got pretty overwhelming and exhausting for me. It felt like I was juggling 20 different things and needed 10 different items to craft 8 items which in turn were needed to craft another 6 items in order to get the one thing I wanted. I was honestly getting pretty stressed out lol.

  22. hdjeodjf

I’ve never played graveyard keeper, so stardew (for now)

  23. Paper_Piece-1920

Stardew Valley is better imo, but Graveyard Keeper still an amazing game.

  24. Stardew Valley. Graveyard Keeper kind of sucks.

  25. Efficient-Flow-8591

i have my own zombie slaves of course graveyard keeper

  26. RainbowRay33

Is there an OG option for Harvest Moon?

  27. Helpful_College6590

i haven’t heard of graveyard keeper so ig stardew valley even though i don’t play it

  28. THEpeterafro

Never played either (have not even heard of the left one)

  29. Omnizoom

I will say I’ve put far too many hours into both of these games…. Far too many…

The only thing I wish both of them had was a better combat aspect, like I yearn for a legend of mana style game with the story and combat and characters but that has more serious farming and monster raising and gear crafting

  30. SDV. Graveyard keeper just felt too unpolished to me. A lot like the devs who knew how everything worked were the only people who ever play tested it so too many obtuse designs made it through.

  31. heruka108

I was willing to invest 20 hours of my time into G.K. I played it 60 hours until the end, still fully hooked.

  32. As someone who has 100% both games, I had more fun with Graveyard Keeper. Felt more interesting
