Will this add more artifacts or will it be game dependant? I tried 2x and 3x on Fallen Order and kept getting weird glitches on Cal’s hair and in dark areas.
How is the actual upscaling? I’ve never used this, but if it looks better than FSR then I suppose you could use it in combination with AFMF2 for better results?
Edit: To clarify I mean using only the upscaling without the frame gen

The quality is significantly worse than DLSS frame gen, and it introduces a fair bit of input lag in the absence of a compatible low latency mode (e.g. Reflex for DLSS). As a result, it’s not ideal for fast paced games.
So far the only use cases I’ve found are:
* A desperate last resort for weak specs.
* Elden Ring multiplayer (or any other multiplayer game with hard 60 fps cap).
* Older 3D games that do not have mods which unlock fps cap / resolution cap.

Didn’t FSR recently get an iteration that was able to be used for any game? I assume that Nvidia is getting eventually gonna do that. Though maybe not for older cars so I guess that still a use for this.

I use it for Hogwarts legacy as I get unstable fps. It works perfect for it, if it’s a beefy game or poorly optimized, and single player it’s kinda is nice to have.
I do notice some occasional (visual) glitches but not that often and usually not that bad either

You can interpolate arbitrary frames. It doesn’t really matter.
We need a reduction in latency.
So expect extrapolation with the next generation of GPUs

Can someone explain this like I’m 5? I’ve looked it up on Steam but I understand nothing 😅

LS is a hit and miss. Sometimes it works really well, and other times it reduces performance of the base FPS by a lot because its so tasking on resources. It’s a good piece of software but nowhere near the “fix” for low-end GPUs. But great to see the devs continuously working on this and providing additional features and fixes all the time. I won’t be surprised if the app is bought by someone or the devs are poached by AMD or Intel.
