There has to be an IR sensor somewhere, Some flashes carry information with the light, mainly settings for other flashes, like Nikon SB series, surely others can do too for remote triggering.

some flashes are operated over radio, maybe your flash broadcasts a signal that a USB dongle for a wireless device picks up on?

Someone was having their computer restart when they would take a photo with flash and it was tripping the PSU or having some weird interference with it. This was probably a year or two ago on here. I am looking for the post.

If your keyboard is optical then some keys are being triggered by the IR light emitted from the flash

Technology has failed you. Witchcraft is back. Kill it with fire and move to a shed in the woods. Get a gun, an old car with stick shift and lots of canned food. Avoid cats at all cost.

Optical switches?

It’s totally the huntsman. Optical switches work by blocking the light beam until you press the button, which has a hole in it, and a small light beam on the other side. The flash is probably tricking the sensors on the keys that it’s being pressed.
