    Online games have to balance all 10 players different pings/latency, combined with a 64 tick rate, what you see on screen doesn’t always reflect what the game server says what’s happening.

    Your input occurred when he was “on screen” according to the game, but the visual wasn’t updated until the next tick so it looks like you shot the air (my layman’s understanding)

    Deathmatch, but still it’s Valve server. I think I haven’t yet seen something like this on Valve servers. This is bad.
