Na around revelations Edward became just a member of the council of Ricks from Rick and Morty.
He’s the smartest worst/best dude in every universe and the one untouchable constant within them and his goal was to get a bunch of them together to fix everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if instead of the mysterious council that has been mentioned a few times being just 5 Edward’s giving him orders rather than group 935 or the Illuminati giving him orders like ultimas Edward before he went crazy.
