Well, depends what do you want to do. If you plan to have future proof PC, then this mobo would not support DDR5 RAMs with speed of 6000Mhz. I think it’s the only issue here, as this mobo supports PCIe 4.0 so thats good. I would personally take it, get a GPU and you’re done, don’t forget about BIOS, chipsets updates etc. and remove old graphics drivers. Check other GPUs as well, 4060 ti is mainly 1080p/1440p card, prob won’t do well on 4k. Edit: I checked this CPU and it’s about 230$ in my country, so thats a good deal, I don’t know if this cpu is good or bad though.

Probably pass, while the price isnt bad, there isnt really an upgrade path given that intel CPU’s at 65W and higher are going extinct after some years.
I’d probably invest in a used AM4 system without GPU instead.

The processor in your cousins pc is one affected by the issue. It may or may not be damaged already, and will eventually / potentially break and start causing issues. Does your country warranty laws transfer to the second user?
Intel is making a bios update to “fix” the issue, but any damage caused already to the CPU is permanent. And we don’t even know if the “fix” will actually help in long term use.

It may very well be, that your cousin knows about this is and is trying to sell the pc to someone fast.
Even if that price is rather tempting, i would really consider this. You could find yourself in a situation where you need to replace the CPU quite fast.
EDIT: The “fix” Intel is making will limit the power to the CPU, making it perform worse than it should / was advertised. This is another issue we will be reading about in few weeks time.
If you need a pc now it’s not bad at all but depending on your city of driving to larger cities FB MP pc and get nutty cheap for good pc and that’s a risk I’d only take if you feel like you know how to fix or build a pc if that’s knowledge you don’t have I’d go with this build and try to get a used 3070 or RX 6750-6800 you can find pretty decent deals on eBay if you look hard enough! I would be careful with that 13 gen. Intel CPU thou…. Could be fried within a few weeks. And when she already has some damage taken, then the update will also be useless for you.
ATM i wouldn‘t Look at anything with an 13 or 14 gen intel CPU. Expecially nothing used, but at this point idk if that makes a difference anymore in this Situation wer are currently in with intel CPU‘s lol.
Hands off any 13th and 14th gen Intel CPU for now, until there is a solid fix available.

I would pass on it tbh I’ve seen alot of bad stuff regarding the Intel cpu, just not worth it imo it’s also better to build your own pc. You’ll know why it has problems if you buy that from him and run into a problem. You won’t know the cause because it’s not your pc I’d say go for it if he does 290 but if he won’t budge just tell him your good I’m telling you bro that Intel cpu is going to be like a car that you keep fixing and more problems pop up

i5s 13th gen don’t have those wild problems that i7s and i9s have been getting lately. Also, that powersupply is going to need changing to at least +750W
350 is a decent price – not horrible, but nothing too great either. With part warranty or without? If with, then you should be fine. In fact, sounds like a good deal then. If not, then I wouldn’t go above 250 with the Intel CPU issues.

Also, is that DDR4 RAM? If so, just no. CPU could be problematic and the motherboard will be useless if all intel 13/14 gen CPU are lemons.

Giving that your cousins trying to sell a PC to you with a CPU that Intel doesn’t like to have transferable warranties on to secondary owners, and the massive waves of issues on 13th nad 14th gen CPUs, you are best avoiding it, less you wanna spend 300 bucks replacing the CPU because Intel likely won’t honor the warranty to get out of footing the cost to fix the issue they’ve been trying to sweep under the rug.
Right now there’s no way to know whether or not all 13th Gen CPUs will degrade to the point of damage, but it’s basically any 13th/14th gen CPU drawing 65W or more of power that is at risk.
Is it worth the risk to buy a defective product? Even if it’s a great deal? Well, only if you’re getting one hell of a good deal on the rest of the parts in that PC, but I’d steer away from Intel while they are not being honest and truthful to consumers about the scope of the problems on their CPUs, and while they have a habit of passing the buck off on others. For the past year there’s been lots of Intel users struggling with CPU stability and Intel keeps telling them “it’s your motherboard” or “it’s how you’re using/setting up the CPU”. Intel cannot be accountable for their own actions, and as such, consumers should stop supporting a company that cannot be accountable.
