The dead Apothican from the Black ops Zombies coordinates that we are given is just a bit north west from the island that Peck points to, we know that Apothicans are absolutely massive so this island definitely has a little more importance than initially thought. (The gray mark is where he points)

Also close to where the Aetherium rockets were fired into the ocean. So its possible the rockets released the apothican or some other large Dark Aether creature into the real world. Would explain why they have a giant Dark Aether deck cannon on the island
