I have it. It’s cool! A little simplified in a lot of ways from the original TTPG. But it’s cool!
Me and my friends basically live in this game.
I read the book a lot but I would love to play a game
I thought it was a grim dark future
We had a fun summer campaign with it but back to D&D we go
wait what i’ve never even heard of this before, where can i find it?
Did a short test run of it recently. Very fun game, but very crunchy. I like crunchy systems a lot, but it could be a bit daunting at first. That said, I think the book and PDF are laid out and set up in very helpful ways with page references and links as needed, so you can quickly reference whatever is being mentioned.
Me! Its a good system for future settings, easily as good as if not better than systems such as Cities without number.
Just wondering, can this be played “online” as I don’t have anyone I know into ttrpgs, but was hoping it could be done over Skype or something?
I haven’t GM’d it but it the Cyberpunk ttrpgs are definitely in my top 5 as a player.
I have the game, but not players to do so.
Been playing it since it came out. It’s a great easy flow system, though the moment you want more crunch or realistic rules, the cracks start to show. Still one od my favorite systems. Planning on merging it with Cities Without Numbers
I’d love to but none of my friends like role playing games, are there online groups which do it?
I did 1 and a bit sessions.
It was a detective style game. Which i thought was well written until one of my players basically guessed the entire plot and spent 5 minutes just straight yapping about it to the table.
And i mean, it was a fair guess and they deduced it well…but fuck
So is cyberpunk red just dnd in the future???
I’ve never GM’d before, but I’m working on starting a campaign with some friends. There’s a jumpstart kit for CB:R with streamlined rules that I’ll probably start with. You should also check out
r/cyberpunkred for more info.
I haven’t gotten to play it, but have seen people playing it on stream. Check out the Acquisitions Incorporated YouTube channel if you want to see Mike Pondsmith GM a campaign.
I wish I had friends to play this game… I usually just listen to the CyberPsychos podcast to get my fix
I wish I had people to dm again. I loved this system, it was my favorite thing in the world. I have an entire network of stat sheets of Edgerunners, rocker boys, netrunners and the like. If I ever get the chance to use it properly it’ll eb and flow with the choices of the party. I miss dming a lot.
No but I wish I would
I just got the books some days ago as RPG shops were having a summer sale, I have yet to really look into them. Only know DnD 5e and L5R so far.
I GM a weekly game. My players are edgerunner sleeper agents for Arasaka trying to mop up some messes leftover from the 4th Corpo War.
What makes it fun is that the Time of the Red is such a varied setting with a ton of potential for absurdity. You know what you’re getting with D&D and you encounter a small army of goblins. But Cyberpunk? Players don’t know wtf to do when confronting a small gang made of of poser Macho Man Randy Savages.
Always been interested in the tabletop games but sadly I have no one to play with 😢
Yes! I play this and 2020 and I’m even working on my own campaign
