NVIDIA hit with U.S. DOJ antitrust investigation over alleged market dominance abuse

  1. Finally. Hopefully we’ll be able to benefit from this.

  2. # r/nvidia mods are silencing this news.

Nestledrink, top mod, locked the comments to the single post about it, without providing an explanation, deleted the meta post questioning why is it locked and deletes all other posts about on this matter.

I provided links towards nvidia subreddit to support my statements, but the comment was deleted because such links are not allowed. Can easily be verified by going to to nvidia’s sub.

**Please help me spread awareness about this abusive behaviour.**

    Good.

Do Microsoft next, for antitrust shit they already got nailed for in the 90s.

even the fucking government thinks the GPU prices are too damn high

This is an american company so I don’t expect anyhthing from this investigation. If it were a foreign company then they would come down hard I guess.

To what end? They’ll be fined and nothing will change.

    Fines are for the poors.

The DOJ should hit this subreddit next, it’s all Nvidia

They’re not concerned about gamers getting gouged. This is about the enterprise side of the business, and probably AI. It’s not great having one company have such outsized control of such a revolutionary technology. Not sure what can be done about it though.

Lol, AMD probably filed this to try and buy time to catch up

The government sucks. They still don’t even know how to program their VCRs… let alone understand why Nvidia is the only real option…. 30 years of hard work, R&D that no one else cared to do. They built the market… and now they’re being blamed for it.

This is what happens when we have so little corporations at the top. This isn’t Nvidia’s fault. They literally built themselves up from the bottom to the top. A top where there are so few doing anything that overlaps. They all are their own little monopolies… and now Nvidia is being held responsible when the others are not?

It must be time to hurt the stock value, so Pelosi can buy more!

That FTC Chair needs to be protected. It’s refreshing and surprising to see a government agency in the neoliberal world actually try to, you know, govern and do the job it’s created for.
