This is after 2 days with kittens. So much for selling the chair so I can upgrade to a used Aeron…

  2. Molotov320

Looks like they want a chair to game in too

  3. DrMcnasty4300

that kinda chair is probably better suited as a scratching post anyway

  4. Main_Enthusiasm_7534

Tell her to stop kitten around.

  5. Yeeaah, my cats loves my “Ikea Markus”…

So much room to put nails through.

  6. I use strips of packing tape on parts of my fabric sofa to keep it from getting clawed up lol

  7. PastaVeggies

Thought this was something else at first 😂

  8. You might feel different when they cuddle up to you while gaming on a winter evening.

Invest in cord protector sleeves just in case.

Are these cat scratches or has your wife been thanking you a lot recently for the cats?

  10. goodeyedeer

Time to get them a proper scratching post and teach them to use it

  11. Good_Nyborg

Downvoted due to cat tax not being paid.

I have a cat too. I put something over the chair to avoid it. Like a blanket or something. Helps with keeping food or drinks off it as well

Think it avoids my trousers scratching it up as well

  13. Guess what? There’s another cat in their future

  14. My cats are the reason I got my Razer Iskur fabric seat, easier to hide little scratches than leather

  15. Bro I don’t even want to show you my kids chair lol

  16. Cheefnuggs

Yea. Mine looks similar. Got about 7 years out of it tho and it was a cheap Office Depot chair so ehh

  17. -professor_plum-

Get your cats some scratching posts and they’ll ignore the chair

  18. wardaddywpc

I feel your pain, I have two kittens and four sons under the age of 10. My wife keeps telling me they get better with time 😂😭

  19. Sanwishon

It’s the same with me, my chair is destroyed but my heart is full 🐱

My wife gets really into puppies and kittens at least once a month. Just gotta wait a few days.

  21. Biscuits4u2

This is why I don’t buy pleather chairs.

  22. SolitaryMassacre

I have a (sadly) 500 dollar razer gaming chair. No the point just added for context.

I have no kitties sadly, but my friend comes to visit me with hers. My chair has so many claw marks it makes me happy. Those claw marks will be there forever, the kitties will not 🙁

  23. LostAllEnergy

I have a decoy chair for this. Works like a charm.

  24. Bushpylot

I have cats… well down to one now. I crocheted a chair cover to prevent this. $5k chair, no f!n way I’m letting the cats touch it!

  25. MeatSlammur

Get a sisal rope cat tower. Once they scratch that up you can buy a roll of rope for like $8 to replace the old rope maybe once a year. It saved my precious couch

  26. dancmanis

Been there brother, I even wrapped the chair in blankets but this little mf couldn’t be stopped, he was just not having that chair.

  27. gregariouspangolin

I literally saw this pic before the written-post and thought, “oh yeah… that’s a cat”

  28. Strike-Intelligent

Lol you should see my computer chair after 11 years and three catsvit’s not black anymore dang kittuns 🙂

  29. I have 3 cats and they never touch the gaming chairs beyond sleeping in them. They have however obliterated our fake leather dining chairs to shreds lol. I think it’s cause the dining chairs are stable and don’t turn, plus we used to close the room where our computers stand while the cats were kittens. They only came in while we sat there and I corrected them every single time they tried the chairs. Now the room is always open and it somehow stuck, but they still have a go at the dining chairs regularly 😅

I like cats, but this is the reason why I never plan on having any…

  31. And what? What do you expect will happen with cats lol. Enjoy.

  32. oRavenTi

I’m never making the same mistake twice. I’m “traumatized” by cats.

  33. Addison_11699

Definitely look into a scratch post! My cat used to be an outside cat and when we brought him inside for good, he scratched just about everything up. A scratch post completely eliminated that.

  34. lethys8976

At least it’s only cosmetic damage, I wouldn’t be too upset, I have the same thing with my cat. People know you have cats, they like to climb and scratch, it’ll be okay

  35. torrrrrgo

Sounds like people are getting gloves for Christmas!

  36. Spoksparkare

Great, now you can get a proper chair 🙂

  37. VengeanceFall

    lol looked like something different…..

  38. Federal-Perception22

Kittens got a hold of my leather jacket…..let’s just say I don’t have a leather jacket anymore
