Bro wanted $4000 USD for this. Facebook Marketplace is unmatched.

  1. Guy wanted what he paid for it. That’s not how this works!

  2. This guy builds PC’s as a hobby…… this must be his first 😂😂 some of the worst colour matching and cable management I’ve ever seen.

  3. Probably thought a TR would sell for a lot of $$

  4. SignalGladYoung

this treadripper 2970wx sells for around £300.

    It would need to be TR 3990wx + 4090 + DDR4 128GB 3600Mhz then maybe.

Oh good, another one of these posts. They are always so interesting.

  6. Uhmattbravo

I’m going to assume that’s the cheapest PSU they could get their hands on.

  7. Real-Human-1985

No he wants to break even lmao 😂. No. A 5950X based PC is faster even in multi core now.

  8. Damn he’s funny. I recently got a brand new pc which has an intel i7 processor, an RTX 4070, Water cooling, 32 gb RAM, and 2TB SSD for $1,450.

  9. awake283

Its a nice machine, but $4000 is probably what this guy paid someone else to build it for him, and thinks its still worth the same.

  10. hazelnut_coffay

lol anyone else see the bit about how the gpu fans don’t need to turn on?

It’s always the people asking stupid amounts of money that fill the description with an over abundance of useless information and very specific specifications that do not need to be listed as they are either redundant or irrelevant. It makes them feel smarter, but to the trained eye it makes them look dumber

  12. Quite the interesting ram setup for a threadripper lmao

  13. Stunning_Smell6492

He must have confused dollars with cents

  14. Greenbeanicus

Bro RGB is at least +$2500

Realistically, what people should be doing is researching what all of that stuff sells for currently new if possible. Then posting it 30% less for what it cost currently to build all of that stuff new. That’s not a bad place to start. I’m not saying they’ll get that much but at least there’s some fairness in that pricing.

  15. Fine-Floor357

I hope you send him the link to this post.

  16. InvestigatorFit4168

A lot of tech terms thrown to make stupid people think like that’s a good deal.

    GPU cooling: *stock cooler*

    lol

  17. derpfjsha

Does it come with a Time Machine to travel in the past when it would be worth anything near that price tag?

  18. iena2003

At the time It was a great computer indeed, now not worth 4k… I don’t know much about the threadripper but in total I think… Under 2k is a good price for this rig? It’s still a great workstation imo

  19. Infamous_Praline7286

It’s not over-priced if he can get some idiot to pay it!

  20. Igotmyangel

I’ll never understand putting an aio on a cpu that a thermalright assassin would keep under 55 degrees for $20

  21. EnclaveLTG

lol I build a 14900k and rtx4080, 64g ram, 2tb nvme m.2, for less than $3k. Even water cooled with 3×180 rad and fans, and heat killer cpu and GPU blocks I don’t think I broke $3500…

I guess people don’t understand that in 1 year, your computer is worth half of what you paid for it. Heck even in 6 months in down 25-33% because new hardware is out.

  22. CheesierSoup

That thing is probably worth $1600 on a good day..

  23. Joker1721

That’s probably how much he paid for it 💀

  24. On the flip side I just got a strix 4090 for $1450 😀

  25. pattperin

I mean that’s a decent PC but not for $4000 haha

  26. turbopug2735

Don’t get me wrong, but that’s one ugly pc… too much rgb!

  27. Ketchup and mustard in a “four-thousand dollar” rig? I don’t think so.

  28. gurknowitzki

The ketchup and mustard non modular PSU cables are the chefs kiss on top of this clear rip off

  29. FudgeTerrible

4k for ketchup and mustard, a 1080, and enermax? Lmao

  30. Prior_Software_2998

Imagine charging $4k for a PC that only has a 500GB SSD and then an HDD.

    For $4k I want a minimum of 8TB SSD.

  31. iNfAMOUS70702

Why would this dude even use a threadripper for gaming?…an 8yr old workstation CPU that he’s charging full retail for 2018 prices…..
