Man, not sure if have a lot of faith in choosing Intel to fab my parts. Desktop has been on 10nm/Intel 7 for how long.
Once tick tock used to be Intel’s strength, but now an actual clock going tick tock as their foundry falls further into obsolescence.
It’s actually kinda sad, as a tech guy.

This is a complete disaster for Intel on top of Ryzen 9000 being better, cheaper and cooler. Absolutely no reason to buy Intel right now. They can’t be trusted.

So if my i7-13700k has been exposed to “elevated operating voltage” for more than a year now I should be getting a free RMA…. Right Intel? Even if it’s being “fixed” this doesn’t account for damage already caused. I’ll say it again, but this is just disappointing. I feel even worse for those who applied during the time period where they knew oxidation could have been a problem.

Intel is going to suffer so badly for this, it will take them years to regain customer confidence.
My last intel was the 2600k. It’s a shame where they are now.

I’m really mad I decided to go with the 14900k over AMD. Have to get a whole new motherboard, cables, ram.

It’s a shame. I bought an LGA 1700 motherboard with a 12600kf, specifically so I could upgrade to a 13th/14th gen Intel CPU if I came across a good price. I guess it’s time to jump ship to AM5. Who knows what else Intel has been hiding.
