Arctic makes good products at great prices. If you need some more 120mm fans for cheap, you’ve made a good choice.
Yes. Static pressure is important for AIOs and air coolers mainly.
I used these as case fans, as gpu fans and now as cpu cooler fans over the years, they are cheap, reliable and good quality. You probably won’t need the “Max” versions. The basic is max 1800-1900rpm, and 120mm case fans rarely need to go over 6-800rpm.
I have these in my case. Very good for the price. There is better out there but much more expensive
Not only are they good, p12 are pretty much the best case fans out there until you reach the 30 bucks per fan price range. They’re the only case fans I use.
Oh yeah. Arctic makes the best fans if you’re on a budget. Imo only Noctua tops these and they cost like atleast 2 or 3 times more. I run P12 PWM PST, it’s basically a cheaper version of these, doesn’t spin as fast but for a case fan you probably won’t need more than like 800-1000 rpm anyway. My cpu cooler is a NH-D15 [chromax.black](http://chromax.black) and the Arctics are almost as quiet as the Noctuas on the cpu cooler.
Airflow fans are good for case cooling.
Static Pressure fans are good for radiators related things.
Good silent fan, only issue is the bearing doesn’t work properly when fan is mounted on top as exhaust
I’ve had my p12s for 3 years now, they are quiet and keep things cool. I’ve had no problems with them at all
Had these they are okay but you need to set static speed around 50% otherwise it can be little loud.
For case cooling you want airflow optimized fans.
For radiators/air coolers you want pressure optimized.
Case fans are not pushing air through anywhere, their only objective is get the hot air out of the case as fast as possible or cool air in.
These exact fans have been heavily recommended in the home server community for their value. They are a little loud but work great. The value 5 packs are great.
I was quite literally looking at that then realized they don’t get free shipping (or at least the ones I looked at didn’t) and chose another option.
for case fans, it’s better to have more flow as static pressure isn’t that important, for coolers (aio or air coolers, doesn’t matter) it’s better to have fans that can build more static pressure (even if they advertise lower airflow)
but, these are pretty universal fans that you can stick anywhere and they’re the best you can get for that price in almost any use-case, so, not a bad choice even for case fans

There are two types of fans: static and airflow.
You want static fans if there is high resistance for air to overcome. For example for a radiator, for cooling hard drives or very obstructed/dense panels where air has to come from.
You want airflow fans if the path for air to travel is largely unobstructed. So as case fans, both intake and exhaust on mesh or honeycomb style panels.
The ‘P’ in ‘P12’ stands for pressure, so they are static optimized. arctic also has ‘F’ series which stands for airflow. (the 12 stands for size, so 120mm btw). So you would want to get the ‘F12’ in your use case.
Static pressure fans excel in cooling system components that have tight fins or require air to be pushed with force like CPU coolers. Airflow fans are great for PC cases.
I had Arctic fans in my server for a few years and they worked fine. Good value. Recently replaced them with Thermalright industrial high static pressure fans.

Yes.. Just Yes.. I have many many arctic fans & always perform well plus low cost. Are noctua’s better.. Generall yes, but they also cost as much per fan as a 5 pack of the arctic’s. Unless I am looking for a specific look then arctic is my first choice.
I would have gotten p12 pwm pst. Maxes aren’t the best choice for case fans, 3000 rpm and might be dbb bearing
They look like an improved version of a set I’ve used in the past, with the ring around the outside of the blades like the RGB ones I’m currently using. Either way, if I needed a set of black 120s right now, that’s probably what I would get.
Static pressure just means they’re better at moving air through tight spaces like the fins of an AiO radiator. They’ll still do totally fine for non-impeded airflow though

iirc, the PST version is overall better. Don’t forget to get rid of possible vibration sources.

Really good fans for under 40 dollars. The only problem and the biggest problem is the screws because of how tiny they are. But that’s the only downside they are really good fans.

These are mainly for radiators, that’s what static pressure is for, pushing air through smaller gaps.
optimum made a [video ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwftVMGPOiI)on them, amongst other fans, and they seem to perform incredibly well. Even comparable to the infamous Noctua fans. I don’t have any personal experience with them though, so take this with a grain of salt.
