I see a trend too. You actually use the stickers that come with your CPU.

Sticking with AMD since the K5 days

I went from AMD GPU to AMD CPU in the only update I did. Wanted to stay AMD even with the GPU, but couldn’t find a laptop in my price range that would be paired with a good enough CPU. (I move a lot and don’t have that much money to spare).

  4. At one point I had like 5 AMD stickers on my PC

  5. My first “gaming” prebuilt came with an FX 6120. One of my buddies wanted to buy it off me because he had like an FX 4300 or something, noticeable difference for him. I stupidly went to get an FX 9590 because I thought more cores + higher frequency would get me some more fps and it would help me save money since I was already on the platform, but in end being forced to watercool the CPU for minimal games was not the move. I built off Intel for a couple of generations before creating a Ryzen 5 1600AF build for a streaming PC to do all the encoding. Then went to a Ryzen 9 5900x for multitasking. Those extra cores actually paid off this time. Then I built my wife a PC with a 7600x because it has decent value and she doesn’t game as hardcore so it works for her.

I still save the stickers. I plan to make magnets out of them when i find thin cutable magnets somewhere.

(not my idea, it was an old post on this reddit, i think the idea is very cool because then you can reuse them and put them on any metal surface)

Is the trend that you still can’t put a sticker on straight?
