I tinkered on my old PC after my mom bought me a new Dell pre-built. I cleaned the inside, unplugged and plugged cables and when I turned it back on it still worked.
After that I decided to get a barebone system that came with a case, motherboard, memory and cpu. I installed the rest of the components with the help of an illustrated poster, and that’s when it hit me that this shit was easy.

I remember building mine 10 years ago. Maybe it used to be more complicated once but I always say it’s a bit like building a lego set.
Machine had its troubles but after replacing a broken PSU last winter it’s still running.
