They probably don’t have extra sets of keycaps lying around so it’s probably easier for them to just send you a whole new keyboard
Ruxsti
They did the same to me and I am not complaining.

stubenson214
they keycaps on my G710 have been annoying. Buying random replacements off ebay is getting expensive.
I may try this route to see what I can get.
JaidenPouichareal
I can just imagine the person was like: ehhh just send him a new keyboard, too much effort
sirfannypack
Logitech key caps are never last long.
xZedRS
Ok, we need the details on how EXACTLY you requested these keycaps.
NobodyYouKnow2515
You should get a wooting if you want to just buy replacement parts it’s awesome I have one
ilFau
how did you do the request? I remember requesting the same and they close the case without sending anything
Atlesi_Feyst
Lol, they never answered my warranty claims, and then it expired. You win some, you lose some, I guess.
Sitting_In_A_Lecture
I have the G815 and am starting to consider replacing the keycaps as well after about 2 years. It’s an amazing keyboard, but yeah the caps start to fade surprisingly quickly.

You lucky bastard 😡😂
schneelagchen
nice now sell it and buy a good quality one

Logitech is great in all my experience this way.
I am a loyal Logitech peripheral user. I bought the G560 speakers/sub, one of the speakers sounded a little off to me, and when I voiced my concern to customer service they sent me a whole second, brand new case. No questions asked.
fartsachel
May I ask what the process is to request new key caps?
Quick_Love_9872
The hell.. i did this for my gpro keyboard and after a few hours of customer service horse shit I was given a 15% discount on a new keyboard.. literally 1 key broke and I needed the cap. So I just got a whole set of the exact matching keys probably from their factory for like 10 bucks off Alibaba.

“do we have spare keycaps?”
“no”
“fuck it”
*sends a wholeass keyboard*

Logitech has always taken care of me, recently had issues asked with corsair for replacement caps, they told me they would send them in 2 weeks and completely forgot me.

Reminds me of when my brother RMA’d his 2GB EVGA 660 ti and got an appology letter explaining that they were sold out of direct replacements, so they sent a 4GB 770 instead.

Instructions unclear, new unit sent.

Not a bad score
RoboticSausage52
They did the same when I was missing the battery cover on my g502. I think it may just be policy to do this kind of thing. Which is sick.
triadwarfare
That’s what they did on my G513 Romer G. Then it broke again after 1 year.
dotNetromancer
When my Logitech keyboard broke after 3 months, they refused to help me and I had to go through the retailer I bought from to help me. They tried to fix it and helped a little but the keyboard obviously came from the factory with poor quality and the affected keys still aren’t like new. I used to think Logitech was top quality. I’ll probably never buy Logitech gear again now which makes me sad. I have always loved their products in the past but if they won’t stand by there warranty, I don’t wanna give them my business.
Stranger_Danger13
I had a key that the blue led went out and asked about a replacement key and I would do repair myself and was essentially told to fk off. Customer service can be really hit or miss, Logitech has unfortunately been a miss for me personally.
Especially peeved because a single diode color going out is clearly a manufacturing defect.
Quietser
Logitech customer service is insane.
I broke a small connection on my g29 wheel that I totally could have just fixed at home but I reached out and they straight up sent me a whole new set.
robustedmcfurry
Well thats a lotta key cap.
sketchymidnight
Corsair does the same thing. Crappy keys with plastic
LordDinner
More keyboard, more powah!!!

Much less manual labor!

I forked out cash money to Corsair for improved durability caps due to several of them failing, what a bitch that was.

I bought a G910 years ago and a few months later the enter key would not work. They sent me a new one, no questions asked. Their warranty is pretty darn good from personal experience. Still rocking that RMA’d keyboard today.
afterberner9000
I lost the light speed dongle to my gpro super light mouse. It was two months out of warranty. They sent me a brand new mouse in box. Above and beyond customer service.
AztecTwoStep
Yeah they’re hopeless at spare parts. I called to buy a replacement usb dongle for a lightspeed mouse and they had none to sell. They offered to sell a whole new mouse at a slight discount which I refused, reminding them under consumer law in Australia they need to offer spare parts etc. They just sent me a whole new in box mouse.
Who_asked_you_
I asked for new earmuffs, got a new headset. Seems like a theme.

Hopefully, it lasts longer than my first gen Superlight. Mine is falling apart with not even 3 years of use.
Wait I have that same keyboard and my D key is starting to rub off. I was thinking if requesting a new key too lol
