This has always been my take with anti-virus packages.
They slow the computer down 100% of the time. And they only protect against things which are already known by the general public. So they’re basically useless.
A good backup regimen is better than any anti-virus/malware solution.
But then again, nobody here is playing online gambling games, freemium games, or spending eight hours a day surfing cyberpoon.

Honestly, I think it would be a fun little Easter Egg if Microsoft made it so funny random generated messages appeared during BSOD’s instead of the generic “***Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart.***”
