Not to toot my own horn or just myself for being a dweeb lmao but 10k+ hours play time and a feast of chicken dinners along the way 😉.
You need to check of priorities straight away.
Your 1st priority is cover, you started well but began backing away from the car exposing more and more of yourself to the enemy that’s the most important thing keep yourself completely covered unless you are firing directly at the enemy, try peaking from cover when shooting as it only leaves a very small target compared to walking out like that.
Other most important thing after concealment is stock take. Do you have throwables ect are you equipped with CQB capable weapon of not keep your distance … You get the jist (throwables are your best friend when it comes to someone tree camping one Nade, molotov or blue zone grenade is a nightmare for the enemy in that situation as it forces them to move from behind their limited cover and then it’s EASY shots for you from BEHIND COVER if you’re peaking properly. Honestly keeping calm and out thinking your opponent can make up for bad aim TRUST ME.
When the enemy was running towards cover DONT PANIC SPARY take single shots if you must it’s better to land 2/4 shots than 0/30 ygm ? Take your shots my dude. Best thing for aim is the practice arena. There’s actually aim training drills available (very, very useful) there’s super long ranges for gauging velocity and bullet drop. Lastly play casual games. It’s a good way to have many enemy’s in your sights without getting cooked straight away. If you play on PS DM if you want to squad up.
Forgot to say, when going for loot boxes scout the area and use a smoke grenade to conceal of you can but honestly if it’s REAL open and the engagement was loud and long if you’re good for ammo and loot just dip out the area it’s a snipers dream watching you walk up the that loot box.
