Really cool how far we’ve come.. Now we have these small ass sticks that could hold 2TBs worth of data
That can’t be from 1999, it has an MFM interface, 1989 is more likely.
190 microbits sounds kinda small, no? Nice power usage though! That’ll help warm the office during winter 🙂
Date must be from it was removed/replaced.
Definitely 80’s. Hard drives in the 90s looked like today’s except for the PATA interface.
It’s way old than that, we already were running on ATA2 by 1999.
Once had a Rodyne 10mb that size
my pc had a 2 gb hard disk in 5.25″ format, but in 1996. this must be older.

Makes you wonder. If that could hole 190Mb in 89, what could we store in something that size now in 2024.
For those curious it looks like according to OEM manuals and similar models this guy is from 1987.

Not from 1999. I had a cheap hard drive in 1993 for 500mb and it was much smaller than this.
