Finally upgrading from an msi gtx1080 ti. Was this a good deal in market place? It was brand new never used.

  1. Big congrats. Hope it brings at least 5 years of enjoyment

3080Ti owner here who bought in 2021ish (i think). You did well, and in saying that, I hate you for the price you paid

    RIP the goat EVGA o7

    You will be greatly missed.

They sell for like ~$400-450 on r/hardwareswap . How certain that its new/unused? Even then just be careful with the warranty as it may have already lapsed (typically 2-3 years)

Personally would have gone for a 3080 12gb for like <$340-370 to save money

Edit: I just find it suspicious there’s a BNIB item like this when its been released for >3 years already (Mid 2021)

Got one for 525 new unopened rma replacement a few months ago. It will ride with me to the end. I miss evga cards so much. Nostalgia is a cruel thing.

If its new then yeah its good but if its used.. not so much

  7. meteorprime

You paid about 1000 bucks less than I did.

I hope you have a good power supply and cooling because goddamn

  8. EleventhOracle

Dunno usual price there but here in EU actually you can buy a new 4070S for just like 50-60 more bucks.

I don’t know what’s dumber, the purchase or the people here saying it’s a great buy? For another $30 you could have gotten a faster 4070 Super with an actually warranty or gotten a 7900 gre for cheaper or a used 6800xt for around $375!

  10. classicalover

No bueno. Maybe $450 would be okay. 4070 Super is better at this price point.

  11. DsLmaNiaC

Rtx 4070 or 4070 super would be better mate. Gj anyway.

  12. That was the price a year ago. lmao, terrible deal should’ve got a 4070 or ti, at least you got the stupidly overclocked and inefficient evga version which goes to 440w and will make you sweat your balls off, have fun

  13. MichiganRedWing

    I bought a 3080 12GB for 400 over a year ago. I wouldn’t call this a good deal at all.

  14. JaValin0

    4070 much better than 3080ti
U have frame generation and dlss 3.7 better temps less comsumption.

    Not a nice deal bro.

  15. ohthedarside

Bro thats a really bad price could of getton a 7900gre 3090 or 4070 super all giving better performance

  16. CNoTE_86

Same price I paid for my RX 6950 XT… In December.

  17. tru3robin

You paid insane markup for “collectors value“ lol

  18. ThunderSparkles

I would have sold you mine for $400

  19. Price isn’t great, but it’s EVGA which people already pay a premium for given they’re out the game now.

  20. HankThrill69420

Ominous lol, I just submitted an RMA for the same SKU.

mine being bad =/= yours being bad but still i have to chuckle at the irony.

  21. If it makes you feel better .

I bought this exact same gpu during the pandemic at a walmart launch for 1600$ 😊

  22. Duke0fMilan

Not a great deal. I just sniped a 4080 off marketplace for $600. Granted I had to wait and look for a long time to get that deal.

  23. PaoloMix09

If you’re sticking to nvidia I would’ve gotten a 4070 or 4070Super. They draw way less power and have newer tech for around that price. You didn’t get ripped off by any means though, just my 2 cents.

  24. DogxHuman420

Got mine off Amazon by ordering a 2080 lol 🙂
