As you can see MB and ram are supposed to be DDR4, and yet the module keys are different and the parts wont fit. Whats going on here?

it only goes 1 way. and you have 2 possible orientations. this is like plugging in a usb stick. if one way doesnt line up flip the stick so it does.
the notch in the middle lines it up. one side is longer, one side is shorter.
go watch a youtube video on how to install ddr4 ram.
in the picture you need to flip the ram stick around.

It honestly looks like they put the heat sinks on the wrong modules. DDR4 typically has a angled strip of pins. Those sticks of yours remind me more of DDR3.

From where the notch is, that stick looks like DDR3. Where did you buy this? Looks like someone swapped the heat spreader.

I had the same kit, wouldn’t fit in my motherboard no matter what I tried. I’m convinced these aren’t DDR4 and microcenter had just fucked me over
