I liked the pinball ride in Myst 3 Exile best. I’d show my friends when they’d come over to visit.
I haven’t played Riven in forever. Will definitely have to get the HD version.
And you don’t have to change discs out between areas, either!
gah. i bought it and still yet to install or play it. i’m not sure my mind can deal with the puzzles anymore but the nostalgia temptation made me pull the trigger. one day i’ll get 6+ hours to sit down and actually fire it up hopefully. 😂
It’s nice to see this, Myst was one of the first games I ever played. Had to learn about ‘copy protection’ to get it running. Then I spent a lot of time trying to find the secret library and was stumped for a long time. Once I got the book and opened the door, I knew I was hooked for life.
I only played Myst, loved it. Is Riven worth playing? I’m assuming it’s on steam?
This isn’t just an HD upscale, it’s a complete rebuild of the entire game in an explorable 3D format. Completely new game. And yes, it’s worth playing for new and old players alike.
