This has to be one of the best dlcs i’ve ever played

For anyone wondering: the image is from Elden Ring’s dlc, Shadow of the Erdtree.

A couple of bosses i hated but FINALLY From is back on OST quality such as Bloodborne. Midra reached a new peak.

Still going thru it. Every time I get to a boss fight I’m like “great here goes another 5 hours”

You should try Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

I dunno. I really didn’t like the bosses in this DLC and that’s the only reason why I play these games. I felt like they were uninteresting in design. Other than that few of them had real bad camera issues like the hippo and the difficulty spike in general was weird.

I think it’s mid tier From Software content, which still ranks pretty high for DLC in general. Ringed City and The Old Hunters were definitely better, but everything else after those 2 is arguable.

My biggest complaint would be the several zones that were nearly devoid of meaningful things to do, but Shadow Keep and Enir-Ilim were tight.

EDIT: I also loved Light Greatsword attack animations and the breadth of new things to play with is enormous

Hot take but it was a very plain dlc. Aside from lore implications which I don’t really care for, it just feels like an unreleased extension of the base game, which I don’t think adds to much value & was not a lot of newness. Fragment scavenger hunting was a pain and the bosses honestly didn’t feel unique aside from 3-4. Even for like the unique finger boss, they could’ve replaced the model with another dragon or big lump or whatever boss from the base game, and it would felt the same. I would honestly argue that dragons area and malenia area felt more like a dlc

Overall I thought the dlc was pretty underwhelming, it’s a smaller, less impressive, much worse version of the main game with only 3 bosses that were actually fun to fight.

I think it detracts from the overall quality of the main game, it’s a shame they didn’t execute the dlc better or choose a more interesting person to base it on than miquella.

Would have really preferred some answers on the gloam eyed queen over the boring miquella stuff.

The final boss being radahn again too.. just such a boring reveal, actually fighting miquella would have been actually semi interesting??

  9. I’m not mad I bought and played it, but I was kinda underwhelmed by it. There were a handful of cool locations and a few fun bosses, but I didn’t like the open world, and Fromsoft leaned in to many of their worst tendencies with the boss fights for me, personally. I have no desire to be part of whatever big anti-circlejerk seems to be going on with it, but yeah… a bit disappointing.

For me, it’s one of the best DLCs I’ve played because of the boss difficulty

Beautiful open world, but many times it felt empty. Or you make your way through mobs and hard to reach places, only to be rewarded a mushroom or smithing stone

Easily one of the most beautiful and difficult bosses , but i felt like they couldve done more with the world

Just a shame FromSoft are so bad at PC ports.

They’ve gotten better for sure, come a long way from DS1’s borderline unplayable pile of shit port that didn’t support mouse input or anything above 720p. But Elden Ring still has stuttering issues for many people on PC regardless of specs or settings.

I know it’s not their decision but their past games are also stupidly expensive. Dark Souls 3 is like 8 years old and it’s still $60 when not on sale.

I can’t get over how good it is. Keep trying to progress the story but then take 6 elevators up and down and end up in some mad dungeon hours later

It’s okay. Personally it’s my least favorite DLC by fromsoft. It’s still fun but definitely my least favorite.
