You’re assuming they want back in. I feel like the more time that passes the less people care about this poorly designed game.
I’ve definitely quit mid game when the 1000th thing a row went wrong and went to go do something better with my time. I’m sure it’ll happen in the future too.

I always stick around until the end of the match, even if there’s zero chance of a buyback.

Almost exact same thing happened to me last night, solo queuing for ranked resurg.
I died twice off the rip and only got one kill, teammate died 2x off rip but 0 kills, last guy had two kills and dies while me & #2 parachute to a different spot to reposition and regroup. He jumps on mic and says “You guys are f&&king trash” and rage quits, even though he was about to respawn.
Ended up being one of my better games of the evening, ha. Neither me or teammate die the rest of the match, I got 9 kills, teammate got 5 or 6 I think. I think we ended up with 3rd place, would’ve definitely be nice to have our 3rd to help with the end game.
Quitting should be punished by not being able to join another game for 10+ minutes
Playing duos with randoms is essentially solo queuing at this point with how quickly most people quit. Had a guy ego chal a team and then ask me what I was doing as I backed out of the fight to regain. He lost gulag and quit. I had money to buy him back…..
Yeah, I always prioritize it too, some people don’t bother even if they have money but at least wait a min you can usually tell if they’re trying to get to a buy station
Every team based game, should institute the same things SMITE does. If you leave in the middle of the match, you get a cool down where you can’t rejoin for a period of time. You can also be reported for ban for rage quitting or hindering the team intentionally. Team games are for teams, you wanna play by yourselves go play solos, people need to quit trying to jump into quads just so they can run off and rely on three other dudes to keep them in the game. They might end up with a lot of kills but none that mattered to the team, they’re just in it for clips and trying to get carried to a dub. If they did the running off trying to get clips in solos shit they’d get clapped immediately and they know if.
We’ve had several randos quit the last few weeks. After their first death like a minute in. In resurgence. I don’t get it- you’re going to take way longer to go back to the lobby and restart than just waiting 30 sec to come back
