Hahaha. How we wish it’s true but sadly reality says otherwise.

  2. _Tacoyaki_

I wondered about this for about 8 seconds and then discarded the thought lol

  3. KrazyKryminal

But the price will be lower because everyone with a 3090, will sell theirs after buying a 4090. Because they gotta have the newest, best shit.

  4. Rivetmuncher

What are the overall hopes for a price drop at this point?

Waiting till Intel conjures up it’s own four slot behemoth?

  5. NVidia won’t care about consumer graphics cards for as long as they can sell overpriced “AI” GPUs for higher prices to businesses. They have a monopoly on GPU compute.

  6. ConditionExpert8563

Here in my country the RTX 3090 costs more on Amazon than the RTX 4090 🤡

  7. BrevilleMicrowave

Until AMD has something to compete with the 4090 Nvidia can charge whatever they want.

  8. NekulturneHovado

Hey hey wait. Nvidia won’t drop prices, but there will be people upgrading, and they will be selling their 4000 vards for less money.

  9. Indeed, NVIDIA cannot give a mouses peen for gaming GPU sales right now. They don’t sell ? Use the silicon for AI GPUs, which make them more money.

  10. Material_Tax_4158

Unless amd drops a competitor to the 4090, the prices are not dropping

  11. Well they COULD.

But I don’t think they WOULD.

  12. SimpleManNo1000

We need OpenSource Graphics Card once that is done just see what happens to prices 🙂

Can’t wait when RTX 8090 comes out and I am buying a used 4090 for tenth the price

  14. John_Doe_MCMXC

I use NVIDIA cards. The only time they’ll lower prices is when AMD outperforms one of their cards.

  15. Meh. Still working through 10+ year old games. Immune to this.

  16. I am expecting 5090 to be $3000 at launch. 3500€ here in Finland.

  17. Nvidia wants to know how much buyers are willing to pay for a top-tier product.

    $1600 already validated.

    Current market value **above** $1600

(even though it will be an almost 2 year old product in 3 months)

RTX 5090 **will** be higher (and it will sell).

  18. SparsePizza117

Just buy a 5070/80. Will probably be somewhere near the same power of a 4090 for significantly cheaper, use less power and produce less heat.

  19. Sea-Bed-3757

Bruh…I ride a few cards behind and never worry about cost. Crazy as hell to try to keep up with those prices.

  20. Yeah, no.

The fucking 3060 ti is still $500.

  21. U know usually markets work like this, new flashy thing comes out old thingy gets a discount so people buy it more, actually it could go 2 ways, first one is the Sony way like they did with the controllers where p5 controllers cost less than a p4 controller, so maybe 50x card will be the same price or slightly cheaper than 4090s to make the 50x series start to sell, or they drop the 40x series prices a and make the 5090 the new 4090 in terms of prices.

  22. SagittaryX

Nobody is expecting Nvidia to drop 4090 prices when they talk about a cheap 4090, they’re talking about used prices.

  23. meltingpotato

If AI wasn’t such a big thing I would have bet on the RTX50 series being the cheaper one, like what happened with RTX30 series. But now? there is no way Nvidia is going to lower prices.

  24. BlockImpressive3238

Better wait for 7090 to buy 6090

  25. Morteymer

    no offense lol

With titles like that and bait like this, you’re clearly a genius yourself

    But you’re right, 3090 is still $1499

    Oh wait..

  26. yoriaiko

I’m not dumber, I cannot afford 4090 at current price, and defo won’t even look at 50×0. Lovering ~~4090~~… 4070 by a lot is my only chance.

If 40×0 wont go down, I may still upgrade with 30×0… bah, even 20×0 would be upgrade for me…

    I’m clearly poorer.

  27. Careless-Midnight-63

Who cares? There’s no point at buying them
