I was playing a lot of Nacht der Untoten lately.
So I thought after dying on round 245, I wanted to beat it.
Steam Deck‘s sleep mode helps a lot with this.
Does on round 413 because of a stupid mistake.

How did you not give up out of pure boredom to get that high?

Dude. That’s awesome. My adhd ass could never. I’d get bored after 4hrs. Dude, that’s an accomplishment, and I would live to see you break 500!

    Edit: love

  3. A little explaination here:

This is CoD WaW so Nacht has only 24 zombies a round on any round after round 5 (that does not apply to coop).

I used Ray Gun to fly through early rounds up until round 50 (I made sure to get the M2 Flamethrower before that).

M2 Flamethrower was used after that and the Ray Gun was replaced with the Thompson (The switch time is faster to the Flamethrower than the Ray Gun).

The flamethrower damage is 30 but it increases every round and give the zombies afterburn damage, that makes it the strongest weapon to use on this map and Verrückt. It also has unlimited ammo but overheats with long use.

After I hit round 163, the zombie´s HP became 150 (round 1 HP) and I could kill them easily with the Thompson, Flamethrower and granades. Since the game is 32bit, the Zombie HP got too high for the game to handle and reset it to 150 HP. That happens every 2 or 3 rounds, sometimes a couple rounds in a row.

So your game effectively becomes easier after round 163.

Since I was playing on my Steam Deck connected to my monitor, I could let it go into sleep mode to take a break or sleep and wake it up again to resume the game.

Originally I wanted to go to round 1000 after hitting round 500 but I died by panicking of a zombie, who “sucked” me into the horde and instead of running in a different direction, I thought I could make it and died.

This is not the world record. The world record is round 8817 by Cruppz.
