I play mainly zombies and love black ops 2 and 3. Black Ops 4 base game is available for $20 at a local shop and was wondering if I should indulge and just go for it? Any advice?

Definitely. In my opinion BO4 was almost as good as BO3. Don’t listen to all these people who hated BO4 for changing the formula a bit, but somehow they love cold war which was 10x worse

Bo4 zombies maps are either s tier or f depending on the person. The fact that there’s 8 maps means unless you just can’t get into the gameplay in general your gonna find some pretty enjoyable maps and have some good experiences With the game. If you have the money to spend I’d say go for it.

Absolutely. Dead of the Night and Ancient Evil alone are worth buying the deluxe version of the game for

Same I love zombies but never have anyone to play with bc everyone leaves when they’re downed. If your down to play some time that would be cool asf, I’m on Xbox

    For what price- full no
I’d say it would be worth it for like 20

Don’t do like me, the other day I went back to BO3 to play the old maps, only to discover that I now suck within the old formula as BO4 is easier compared to BO3.

Normally in BO4 when I am stuck in a corner I pull out my special Weapon, but you can’t really do that in BO3. I have become too comfortable in BO4 Zombies by now, it’s pretty good. But the HUD is bad and some of the maps are pretty mediocre. But for $20 it’s a steal, I bought the mystery box edition back then.

    I’ve really enjoyed it.

The best way to get it is to wait for the deluxe edition to go on sale so that you get access to all 8 maps

I would definitely say so! I never gave it a chance back in the the day and its recently become my favorite zombies. $20 is a good price, and if you’re looking to get dlcs I think you can only get um on the store (ps or xbox) and usually they’re not on sale so lookin at another $50 there but to me it was worth it. If you’re on PC tho steam is the go to on a sale to buy the game and dlc together for cheap.

  10. BO4 is dope BUT if ur on PC don’t buy the normal edition, buy the deluxe for 40$. Battle.net is cancer and if you end up buying the normal edition your only way of getting the dlc is 50$ black ops pass or rebuying the deluxe edition for 40$ on sale with another account

    I actually enjoyed BO4 tbh. It’s underrated

    It’s 100% worth playing.

Just remember that $20 base version will only grant you access to voyage of despair and IX. You’ll need to pay $8 for Classified, and $50 for the black ops pass to get the other maps, for some reason you can’t buy map packs individually anymore besides classified.

I’d wait for the deluxe edition to go on sale, as you’ll get the full game and the black ops pass, and classified. Usually it goes down to $40 and will save you big time.

  13. I absolutely hated it. I just felt like they unnecessarily went in another direction away from what made zombies fun.

  14. BO4 honestly despite the missed potential was still a lot of fun. Even in Zombies with maps like IX and Classified

I would look at some videos from both perspectives of players either liking or disliking it. It’s got some flaws that a large majority of the player base don’t accept but you can definitely feel the passion the team had for most of the maps. Me personally it’s my favorite zombies mode

  16. Grab it for the $20, it’s very hit or miss to each person, some love it, some hate it.

Me, personally, I don’t like it, multiplayer was fun but I just didn’t like zombies for most of the changes, plus the base 3 maps were ones I just hate, which is weird since I love boat maps in any game, but Voyage just wasn’t fun, nor was XI, and Blood was an expanded version of a map I don’t like. Gameplay is fine though, I hate the perk system though, every other part of the gameplay is good though.

If you like the base 3 maps grab the black ops pass (I hate how the dlc isn’t seperate and you have to get the season pass, worst decision that game ever made)

Yes most definitely. Despite not being as good it’s easily got the most replayability out of ANY zombies cause of custom mutations. Play blood with only brutus

Yes it has gauntlet which is the best gamemode of all time

I would argue that some Black Ops 4 maps are better than some Black Ops 2 and 3 maps. I think if you love maps like DE and especially Gorod Krovi, BO4 has tons of maps that are like that or maybe even better for some people. IX, Dead of the Night, and Ancient Evil are some of the most fun in zombies I’ve ever had. While the game could’ve been more, I think it holds up as a zombies game. I know people on here love BO3, and I do too, and when you compare things people get mad. I personally think there are some things that BO4 actually does better than BO3, but hey, that’s my opinion. You’ll get no argument from me that the HUD and elixers probably went in the wrong direction, but that doesn’t make the actual maps any worse.
