I don’t understand these scams
Surely if I was buying a card as expensive as a 4090 even on AliExpress I’d pay with PayPal, verify it actually boots and is recognized as a 4090 and then performs like one
I think this Scam is more people buying a 4090 from Amazon, swapping in this dud of a card then buying the returned stock from a liquidation store then flogging it on eBay as faulty to a unsuspecting person looking to score a cheap 4090 and spend a couple hundred in labour and parts to get a good deal

Crypto currencies are a a big problem. It made a few scammers extremely rich at the cost of tons of CO2. And it totally wasted resources that could have been better used elsewhere.
Dedicating so many resources in our society to unproductive work will bite us back in worse ways than this one.
