    I bet there are a lot of people confused about what they bought but BBY is a bad example of this as they get returns when the Amazon price drops $10.

    nothing brand new is ever a success out the gate. the first gen of anything normally isnt great.

    These things have no right to cost more than 500$.

    The native application support isn’t there and they struggle emulating many applications. I still can’t believe Snapdragon didn’t have a real dev kit program – these should have been out before release.

    If you search any product, you’ll see open boxed units for sale. Unless you know how many are being sold, this means nothing.

    Don’t know from a gaming perspective, but for a business and productivity one, we’ve had lots of issues with driver support on these chipsets.

    Meh. Doesnt really say anything to me. If it turns into a long term trend wake me.

    These are great for those who know what they are buying and it fits their usage. Those who want console gaming experiences should look elsewhere.

    Those being productive or consuming media will find the battery life dreamy and have great experiences.

    $413 off and I still wouldn’t touch it at that price. Knock another 600 off and we can talk about your trash ARM laptops Microsoft.

    No one buys first gen products. Even if it’s good people will wait a couple gens to get it outside of enthusiasts.

    The thing is also overpriced as fuck. Thats like 1200-1300$ new for a laptop that isnt exactly a powerhouse to start with.

    For gaming they might be not great, but we have been rigorously testing them in our work environment and have found them to be extremely effective for corporate use. Going to deploy a few to test users in the next month or so and hopefully get some real world numbers for price to performance.

    To be clear I’m not recommending them. Just stating my company is looking to move forward with them for our windows users and will be doing a lot of testing in the next few months

    Kind of reminds me of all the times we’ve been told “This CPU will keep Videocards obsolete”, only for us to continue to want “mo powa” and play games with demanding graphics, at higher and higher refresh rates. Integrated graphics are a LONG way off replacing GPU’s.

    Open box’s are returns?? This whole time I thought it meant somebody actually ripped open the box at a store so now the value went down
