Driving Question: Are there any hidden maneuvers or tricks (like skidding, drifting, etc.) that will keep me from ending up like Toonces every time I cruise the mean streets of Night City?

The trick is to not skid, drift, hit curbs etc. You need to drive realistically. Brake before a turn, stop braking, turn, stop turning, accelerate. The driving mechanics are more on the realistic side than the very arcady style in many similar games.
Also, RWD cars handle the turns worse. They are still very much usable, even on KB+M, but using FWD or 4WD cars will make it much easier. Nomad style cars will also not become unstable at higher speeds on dirt/gravel roads like normal cars will.

Go into the settings and decrease the steering sensitivity for what works best for you.
I also prefer using motorcycles as they are a lot easier to get around traffic and are way better out in the countryside.

No, sadly. Just drive slower and brake before turns, I just wish there was cruise control. Real world had it since 1958, Saints Row 2 had it in 2008, yet every game developer aside from Volition (which is now dead) forgets about this feature.

Skidding. Fuck I haven’t seen or heard that word in years!
