    I mean I don’t know a lot about power supplies but I have had a Corsair rm 650 80 plus gold for like 4 yrs and it’s been a smooth experience so I would defo root for corsair

    Just choose one that will provide enough power for your system, has good efficiency rating and is from a reputable brand.

    Very hard to tell when the only? information we have on the second one is that it’s presumably a MSI MAG PSU… but which model?

    Corsair is usually the higher standards model, but idk what certifications the MSI carries.

    All 4 of my Corsair PSU’s are CSA or ETL Certified for containing basic electrical safety.

    Dont get the rm1000e. Coil whine issues. Internet is full of complains for that.

    Get the XPG Cybercore ii. Platinum rated psu. Best in the market with this budget!

    I have Corsair HX1000i, so I would recommend Corsair over MSI.
    You should also consider bequiet! if available in your region. Anything with efficiency rating GOLD or better. Take the version with PCIe 5.0 GPU power connector to be ready for the future.

    I’ve used a variety of MSI PSUs (2 650ws, 1 1000x), all of them were fine.

    Corsair is also a pretty good brand for PSU. Just get whatever you prefer.

    I would consult the psu tier list maintained by psu cultists. It can tell you the quality of any given psu you mint be thinking about getting.

    My rule of thumb for psu buying is to input all my parts into pc part picker and see the estimated wattage my system needs under load and get a psu that can handle 1.5x that amount. So if your system needs an average of 500 watts get an 850w psu do it can handle spikes.

    Also consider the case size and shape you intend to put your psu in. The Corsair shift PSUs may not fit in all cases. I would recommend looking at the Linus tech tips video going over the shift series because he does three builds with it and has some pretty good insights on the unique challenges he had compared to a traditional laid out psu.

    80+ rating isn’t as important as it used to be, but still a good thing to look out for. But the psu tier list will give a better idea of if a psu is good than the 80+ rating alone.

    You should probably include what model the MSI one is. I’m pretty sure the RM-e series is A tier on the cultist list. Can’t say for the MSI without actually knowing the model.

    Both Corsair and MSI PSUs are made by Channel Well (CWT). Channel Well also makes Thermal Take PSUs, fwiw. I would by Seasonic, who makes their own PSUs. I have only bought Seasonic Focus line, and they have been rock solid.

    I’d honestly go for the seasonic power supplies. The crazy long warranty is great to have. Not sure how long the warranty of the Corsair is, but the 12 year warranty on their prime psu‘s helped in my decision.

    I always buy Corsair PSU’s. I like MSI for MOBOS.

    Can’t go wrong with either really. My bias leans towards Corsair.

    I got a Corsair RM750e in my current build (13600K/4070S).

    I don’t know about the corsair one but the fans on the MSI one is too loud. All those fan speed setups went down the drain for me.

    My Corsair Shift had some coil whine, got the MSI and got no issues but you are probably fine with both.

    Neither, there are better options at simillar price points such as: superflower leadex VII gold, montech titan gold, corsair rm1000x

    corsair for sure, when ever i build a pc i use corsair psus as they are reliable and very clean looking tbh. I actually didnt even know MSI did PSUs

    Get one that cost atleast 200 at best buy. My pc came with a cheap one and it exploded after a year

    Do the repair urself but go SLOW those plugs are a bitch to unplug have pliers and get ready to jiggle the plug out lightly for 5 minutes straight

    First make sure your build needs 1000w if it does than go with Corsair, more reliable and have great customer support

    Literally every company has absolute shit-tier psus in their lineup.
